I listed it elsewhere but from memory.

Positions for first XI: GK, LCB, LWB, CM, LCM, CF.
Positions for cover: CB, LCM, AM, CF.

We've an ageing squad of players close to the end of their contracts.
I think it's a bigger rebuild than many others acknowledge.
There’s a big difference in saying we need 9 signings and expecting that we will sign that many.
Your suggestion that we need 5 for the match day team/squad is spot on but the rest of the squad is already in place at least until January.

Piroe at Swansea would be a great replacement for Ndiaye especially if we could sign another goalscorer to play alongside him.
Hope to stay up , plan for relegation - we absolutely have to recruit Ndiaye's replacement/cover now , so that we aren't in panic mode when he leaves next summer , as he will (whether we stay up or not) , if he maintains his current trajectory.

If we are to be a yoyo club I hope we lay some foundations in the way of planning for a long term future whether it be improving the academy or improving the ground IMO with the minimal amount of money we have at the moment we need to spend wisely on players but as the season goes on we’ll get other payments and depending on where we are in the league we can use the money to offer a longer term benefit.

My point exactly. If we can sign a few decent Championship players and some good loans, I’d be very happy for us to pump money into the infrastructure for (hopefully) long term progression, sustainability and success .

Agree or disagree but for me over the course of the season we had 3 consistent players head and shoulders above everyone else, N'Diaye, Egan & Norwood. I often looked at the rest and apart from brief moments thought that none of them were remotely good enough for a season in the Premier League. Hope I'm proved wrong but I fear a massive rebuilding job is needed but doesn't look like that will happen.

As it stands financially we can’t afford a massive rebuild plus there’s no guarantee of survival if there was one. I think we recruit smart, go with the momentum and team spirit from last season and fight to finish 4th bottom. I think it’s very doable especially with a packed out raucous BDTBL every other week.
