Ref was appalling, up City's arse. Not changed since that 'Stevie Gerrard' penalty in 2006. In fact probably worse. Yes, it was a pen. Ref seemed more pissed off than anyone that City missed it. Gave them everything.

Never seen a ref blow or pull a card as fast in a game ever. My understanding is if a player puts both arms out in a pushing manner in the back of an opponent its a foul? City centre backs did this plenty of times.Ref was appalling, up City's arse. Not changed since that 'Stevie Gerrard' penalty in 2006. In fact probably worse. Yes, it was a pen. Annoys me how every time Bernardo Silva hit the floor City got a free kick, yet when both Baldock and Souza took harder challenges before going down we got nothing. And that handball for the penalty looked proper harsh.Ref was appalling, up City's arse. Not changed since that 'Stevie Gerrard' penalty in 2006. In fact probably worse. Yes, it was a pen. I’m ignorant of the Law, but is any contact with a defending players arm in the penalty area now a penalty?Ref was appalling, up City's arse. Not changed since that 'Stevie Gerrard' penalty in 2006. As I understand it now yes. I don't agree with it.I’m ignorant of the Law, but is any contact with a defending players arm in the penalty area now a penalty?
Then it’s a crap Law. I look forward to it being applied consistently to all teamsAs I understand it now yes. I don't agree with it.
No it isn’tAs I understand it now yes. I don't agree with it.
If anybody could please explain why Osula was booked I'd really like to know. Also troare checked Ake 3ft in difference big CB falls over foul. When you see this it really does make u think WTF are we even in this league for.Pre-emptive, he'd often got his whistle ready any time it looked like the ball would make it near anyone in a blue shirt 30 yards away from the Blades goal onwards.
Ignored plenty from City, so many blatant pushes and shoves, the odd off the ball, a handball by Grealish. The lino on John Street just chuckled every time I asked him why it didn't work both ways.
Help an old fella out and tell me what the Law is and why the referee almost tripped over himself to award a penalty for the Champions? No it isn’t
Fair enough. It's confused me. I see a lot of soft penalties now.No it isn’t

In the olden days it was just whether it was judged to be deliberate or not. Now, in a move that I think is purely to utilise VAR, it is handball if a playerHelp an old fella out and tell me what the Law is and why the referee almost tripped over himself to award a penalty for the Champions?
Seeing it time and time again for years now, most referees are scared to say or do anything against the bigger superstar players (like most of City's team) so they just let them get away with so much in every game.It was a penalty unfortunate but what I don’t like is how much the referees protect the big teams it’s become very apparent in fact it’s become obvious and to add insult to injury the big teams now expect that help some of the other decisions we so one sided.
because it was a penalty and egan knew it but he was unlucky dont know where he was supposed to put his arms sliding in to make a tackle but we all know the big clubs in the premier league get all the crucial decisions in their favour you only have to go back to old trafford last monday to realise thatHelp an old fella out and tell me what the Law is and why the referee almost tripped over himself to award a penalty for the Champions?
I’m of the opinion rather than knowing it was a penalty, Egan knew the referee would give it as such.because it was a penalty and egan knew it but he was unlucky dont know where he was supposed to put his arms sliding in to make a tackle but we all know the big clubs in the premier league get all the crucial decisions in their favour you only have to go back to old trafford last monday to realise that
Completely agree. It was a penalty by the current definition of the law, but the law is a joke. Let’s go back to penalising handball when the offending player is deliberately seeking to gain an advantage. In the olden days it was just whether it was judged to be deliberate or not. Now, in a move that I think is purely to utilise VAR, it is handball if a player
"touches the ball with their hand/arm when it has made their body unnaturally bigger. A player is considered to have made their body unnaturally bigger when the position of their hand/arm is not a consequence of, or justifiable by, the player’s body movement for that specific situation. By having their hand/arm in such a position, the player takes a risk of their hand/arm being hit by the ball and being penalised"
It's a definite penalty given the absurd way this is written and interpreted. That's one of the least controversial handballs of late. But it's just making the game worse. "made their body unnaturally bigger" is a fucking nonsense statement.
Can agree that the ref today was proper bobbar, we couldnt buy a foul, but the handball for the pen was a handball, egans hand was at the bar at the back of the kop when it got hitAnnoys me how every time Bernardo Silva hit the floor City got a free kick, yet when both Baldock and Souza took harder challenges before going down we got nothing. And that handball for the penalty looked proper harsh.
