I have just done a quick predictor and i happily just can't see pigs staying up. I even think they may not lose either of the next 2 games but still won't win any. I have them on 48 points equal to both palace and watford. HA ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Just for the record i have us 10th a win Saturday and lose a week Sunday.

Did it many weeks ago.

Had us finishing 9th and them being 4 points behind Palace going into last game.

Looks like I may not be far out.

(also had 1-1 for last sunday)

I have a feeling they will get a point saturday as Cardiff may rest a few for the playoffs. Its the only hope i have left this season with ours being so poor. If Leeds go up Pigs stay up i really will be gutted.

It might be a shit reply but I'm afraid that Watford may well save our porcine friends.

Two draws for the pigs and Watford losing both their games would see them both on the same points. Watford are only three goals better off then the pigs so need to lose both games by one goal which I can't see happening.

This scenario would also have Palace and the pigs knowing a draw would keep both teams up if Watford were losing.

But Watford have a game in hand Grump. They have 3 to play. Yes, theyre down at the bottom and are less likely to win their games in hand but because of the fixtures they only need one win to be safe. If they win their game in hand tonight against QPR or beat Reading at home on saturday then they're safe.....

In this eventuality they would be safe by virtue of the fact that Pigs are playing Palace on the last day. It would mean that only one of the two can overtake them. Despite Watford having difficult games I think they will be able to manage one win. Watford are crap but theyve always been gutsy.

Further to my post above, the sensible money would be on Wednesday to go down. No one can see them getting anything at Cardiff but I can sadly. The pigs are a funny side and they will beat someone good one week and lose to tossers the next. Cardiff are also safe for a playoff place so wont pull out all the stops where as Wednesday will. Having said that I think the worst thing the piggies could do is win saturday and leapfrog Palace.....

The fact that they're playing Palace on the last day will put each team in a unique situation. The side in the bottom 3 will be desperate (hence they will go for it), where as the side 4th bottom will be nervous (hence they will be hesitant and desperate not to lose).

I think it is firmly between Pigs and Palace and the side in the bottom 3 going into the last day are the most likely to escape, IMO.

My prediction:- Piggies to go down!

I feel QPR and Reading will be too strong for Watford. Coventry might be on the beach, who knows? The pigs are more likely [probably cus I don't want them to so much] to pick up points.

If Watford are safe then I think Palace have the harder task. If Watford lose two and are losing in the last game then the situation allows Palace and the pigs to construe staying up and we know that after Swan and Lane our porcine friends are quite capable of match fixing.

Cardiff need to win to get as high in the table as they can,they want that last playoff game at home,they can still be overtaken by Leicester and Swansea.
Last home game of the season ,a win for Cardiff on saturday then they can rest players.

My prediction;

Watford get a point at QPR tonight.

Dave Jones has said he wants 3rd place to have the second leg of the play-offs at home, (but the same goes for 4th!) so they wont be letting up. I can see the Pigs getting an absolute pasting on Saturday. Nil points.

Meanwhile Watford are losing at home to Reading. Nil points there.

The ideal scenario would be watching Palace beat West Brom on Monday night with a beer in my hand toasting the pigs relegation but I can't see that either, a point for Palace there as well.

so going into the last day its;

Watford 49
Palace 48
Wendy 46

Watford are safe whatever and Wendy have to beat Palace to stay up. I naturally hope they don't.

If Palace and Watford can both win then the pigs need to beat Palace by 9 [or more - assumes Palace win by 1, by 2 would mean pigs needing 10, by 3 11 etc].

Sweet

Ideal situation

QPR 2 0 Watford
Cardiff 0 0 Pigs
Watford 1 3 Reading
Palace 0 1 WBA
Cov 1 0 Watford
Pigs 0 0 Placae

Pigs go down by ONE goal.

Don't let this drive you too crazy :lol:

They are in big big trouble make no mistake. They need a big result at Cardiff because anything could happen in the other games from where their concerned. Losing at Cardiff might not necessarily be the end of the road but it will leave them sweating. I just can't see them escaping, I really can't and that's me with my honest head on, not my United head.

Watford will get the required points out of their three games. Reading is their only really tough fixture. Everyone sees QPR as a difficult game but look where they are in the league. Their money and star names count for nothing, their performances are generally lacklustre.

If it comes down to the last day and you have to pick a winner based on bottle and ability, Palace are a far better side than the Pigs.....

Think of this.....If Palace hadn't gone into admin, a Watford win tonight would have left Wednesday 5 points adrift. All hypothetical yes, but makes you realise they're probably only still alive because of Palace's financial plight!

I kind of agree but then again I had them down a few years ago and they went and won 3-1 (i think) at Leicester, then again Leicester were a relegation threatened team (they went down) whereas Cardiff are my tips for the Play Offs. I have a sneaky feeling that Palace will beat West Brom next Monday so unless Wednesday beat Cardiff and as long as Watford pick up a point before Monday I think they could be down.

I really hope so.

Be nice if they have sold shit loads of tickets for the last game then Palace win at WBA.

Be nowt to go to the game for.

Just done my predictor;

20. Watford (49pts)
21. Crysal Palace (48pts) - (GD -4)
22. Pigs (48pts) - (GD -19)
23. Plymouth (41pts)
24. Peterborough (37pts)

This Weekend:- Cardiff 1-1 Pigs; Palace 0-1 West Brom; Watford 1-1 Reading (Watford safe)
Last Day:- Pigs 1-1 Palace

Incidently:- Blades finish 9th on 63 points; Playoffs as you were.
