We look sooooo fit, we absolutely battered derby second half.

Honourable mentions to Osborn, Norwood, Jags, Bash, McBurnie.

All looked so well drilled though considering no Berge, Fleck, Egan, JOC, Stevens, Ramsdale et Al.

Slight disappointment that it wasn't 4 or 5 as derby were there for taking.

Minor disappointment we didn't create more opps for all the possession and a few lax crosses.
Did Derby field anything like a full team?

Good run out, thought we were especially impressive in the second half. Fitness levels seem to be right where you'd want them to be.

Norwood was fantastic, Bash was his usual self, Jags looked really good on the ball, too.

Bryan was an obvious step up from RND, who didn't do much. Slater pretty anonymous again.

Mousset drinking game: every time he throws his hands up and looks to the heavens in frustration, eat a bag of Haribo. Thought he was poor.

Probably not but we only played 3 or so first team for the full 90 in Bash, Norwood and Sharp (arguably) yet we looked assured and fit. Happy with that run out but we need a striker who can really open teams up on their own and not rely on crosses 95% of our attacks.

No problem - it's just that I saw a mention of Waghorn somewhere and was just wondering about strength of Derby team.

Dont have enough Haribo, for that Haribo dont have enough Haribo.

Good to hear the team looks fit and we are yet to concede

W 1-0 Dundee (45 mins)
W 1-0 Hearts
W 2-0 Derby

Goals still going to be our main issue next season by the looks of things, especially if Moose isn't looking up for it e.g. noticed a couple of days ago Soton beat Swansea 7-1 in a friendly (who finished above Derby last season with 11 fewer goals conceded)

Hopefully some clear JOC news soon too

Nit sure how full strength Derby were, I was concentrating more on us. Forsyth, Bolge, Marriott, Holmes and the young lad Sibley all started, Curtis Davies came in in 2nd half

This is the first time I've seen Bryan at LWB versus LCB. By far his best game for us.

Other than that, just a normal pre season run out

Jags man of the match for me, solid defensively and also some great passes from him. Bash, Jack Robinson solid, same with Baldock. Norwood started to dictate things as he was given more time on the ball second half. Great work rate again from Osborn, also good to see him scoring and playing a part in the second goal. Sharp is showing no signs of getting older, really impressed by his fitness.

I'd expected more from RND, who looked nervous, possibly felt he had to impress to show he could be first choice backup at LWB this season. It made him go for the safe solution every time and he's better than that. Slater is neat and tidy, but just seems to lack something that he does better than most to make a first team player. I don't know if Mousset will ever get fit enough to fulfil his potential, so frustrating.

I've maintained that Kean Bryan is not a bad player, good to see him swinging in a couple of good crosses. Based on today we'll send RND on loan and keep him as backup at LWB. I also thought Brunt showed some very good touches. I'd like to see more of him, he looks skilful and wanted to get involved.

In general a very comfortable win against what was not a reserve side from Derby. I do hope we'll have one or two additions by Friday though, I think Wilder was reluctant to make more substitutions as it would have left us with a very young/inexperienced side.

Slaters Dad apparently put a tweet up along the lines of “I never thought I’d see my son mark Wayne Rooney, I’m proud and hope he doesn’t let us down”

Good for the family but it would’ve read a lot better had it said “I never thought I’d see my son mark a granny shagger”

Oh well, just me then. 🤷‍♂️😁

Keeper was a worry. Not a save to make but made two errors around the edge of his area

didnt see the game - seen a few comments on Moose - from those who watched , is he lacking interest or fitness or both ?

was he knackered or OK after 45 mins ?

he represents the biggest question mark in thr squad and yet he could be a star if he wanted

Good first 25 minutes, looked really lively, good feet. Then we sort of went of it a bit and pass selection was poor and he didn't really get a sniff and drifted out of the game a little, got replaced at half time by McBurnie.

Definitely didn't look fully fit but didn't look like he was blowing out his arse after 10 minutes either, which he did at times last season.

So black dark grey etc

Our away kit shorts are grey and pink. It doesn't matter anyway, both teams can wear the same colour shorts, only shirts and socks have to be different.

Last preseason game today vs. Preston. Important to end the preseason on a high, along with continuing to get fit and getting prepared for Wolves. Would love to see more of the young guys, as well as some of the senior squad to get some more minutes as well. I will be up early here in North Carolina munching on some biscuits and sausage gravy 👍

Such a disjointed pre-season, but I guess everyone is in the same boat.

Would be good to see JOC and Lunny back if they’re done isolating and would also be nice to get a look at Rodwell if he is to be Basham’s back up this season - was his omission from the squad against Derby explained, presumably a knock?

No injuries would do for me. Be nice to see J'OC and Lunny though.
