Pre Season Friendlies

At a guess, he/Wilder requested that as he’s not played a minute of football yet this preseason it might be better for him to get his fitness back in the preseason friendlies left. Were he fully fit he’d be starting.
Getting his fitness back on bench in a friendly ?
Blimey , has it come to this ?
And I wonder how long Moose will last !
In a mess , we are.

We’re not in a mess at all, unless you think this is a must-win meaningless friendly. If he’s not fit, we’re hardly going to risk him by starting him. But he might be at a stage where a few minutes will be helpful.

Derby looking good odds at 4/1 at the bookies much stronger team out than us

connected and waiting - bring me that higher love....

I may be in the minority here, but when it comes to friendlies I don't lose too much sleep if we don't win or just draw.

Just get the guys some good game time together, see what's what, and move on.See no reason can't win easily mind just saying no reason for a meltdown if we dont unless we played like we didn't gave a shit(Comfortable CW wont tolerate that of course).

Exactly. Tbh the main attraction for me is seeing how Foderingham, RND and Slater do, and hoping for an injury free game.

Well it's 2 of our players who were in Greece. Considering 2 players who were in Greece are both missing then that kinda confirms it.
But wasn't Lundstram pictured on Holiday with Baldock?? Could be wrong and if it is simply a case that both Lundstram and JOC and merely self isolating for precautionary reasons then all good and they'll both be back next week then.

Fodderingham didn’t look good with the first low cross didn’t collect it lucky not to get punished

What, no bed wetting if we don’t win ten nil and announce Messi as our next signing at full time........al turn this off now then

I can hardly tell the difference between the kits. I do have a slight colour deficiency but amazed teams can’t get this right yet.

My old man can’t tell the difference either and he’s got the non-disabled eyes.
I think it’s quite a low quality stream, but I agree, it’s not easy to tell them apart. Surely we have another colour of shorts we can wear, our black and grey are far too similar.

JOC and Baldock were at the same training camp in Mykonos. If I remember right Lundstram was on holiday with Dowell.

It’s the sort of clash that causes the most problems, and which there’s guidance against as I mentioned here a few months ago.

With 1 in 12 men experiencing some form of colour blindness, there is guidance from the FA (non compulsory) related to kit clashes. Matt Holland’s experienced that, though not sure his colour blindness was publicly known when he played. They actually specifically highlight red vs black combinations as an issue.

While not an exhaustive list, the kit combinations which cause the greatest problems for colour-blind people are:

    • Red v black
    • Red v green v orange
    • Bright green v yellow
    • White v pastel colours - Blue v deep purple/pink
RED v BLACK
(including stripes/patterned kit)

This photo taken from the document below shows what our a red & white Macron kit a while back looks like for someone affected by red colour blindness.

You would expect there are some players affected by the same condition that makes it tough to distinguish the colour difference today. It’s very avoidable.

Thanks for that, must’ve missed it when you posted it previously. It’s been a bugbear of mine for years and certainly affected me when playing. You’d think with the numbers involved that more would be made of it.

Some interesting goalkeeping from Foderingham there 👀🤦‍♂️

Good things that half:
  • Excellent pressing across the team – we’ve forced them into losing the ball high up the pitch on a number of occasions
  • Mousset heavily involved in that pressing and looked good on the ball
  • Lovely finish from Osborn
  • J-Robs continues to look solid
Less good:
  • Deliveries into the box, Norwood free kick apart, have been poor
  • Foderingham looks erratic
Neither RND or Slater have really made a case so far for being kept in the squad for the season. Still time to change that though. I do think he’s probably recovering from an op.

Deluxe Premium commentary has been a bit sub par today too tbh – Mike McCarthy keeps calling Foderingham “Fodrington”, while Jonathan the Positive Blade hasn’t said anything remotely critical.
