A pathetic bunch of losers. Imagine trying to pretend this fixture doesn't mean anything. Some of their Owl supporting ancestors must be turning in their graves.

We win, and it's a "pyrhic" victory, but if they win, draw or even score a goal, they will be singing about it for generations.

Chansiri, and their own arrogance has driven most of them mad. I hope we bury the cunts.

That's just made be angry. I absolutely despise them.

That's not me being obsessed. It's embarrassment at their fuckin arrogance.

4 League titles and 4 cups versus 1 League title and 4 cups - 12 of those 13 shared honours were 91+ years ago - They go on like they're decorated like Liverpool FFS.

When did it become a rule that we're no longer allowed to celebrate beating them BTW? Was it after the 2-4 at Hillsborough.
If the shoe was on the other foot, they'd shout about it no end.

I'm just gutted that Wilder allowed them those three 0-0 wins.
Copium by the tankerload over on Porktalk.

It's 3 FA cups for them by the way. Their League Cup victory was the bookend of a period which saw such luminaries as Oxford United, Norwich City and Luton Town win it. It was also 35 years ago this season: since they binned off Bannan they no longer have any players alive when they won it; only Ben Mee in our squad was alive and he was 20 months old.

I always approach these games with a level head, just wanting to pick up the win and get it out of the way.

Then I read the mountain of arrogant nonsense they spout about themselves and the baseless drivel they spew about us, and I can't help but wish for us to slap the living piss out of them on the pitch.

They just live in a different stratosphere. Bunch of jebsniffers, the lot of 'em.

“The end of one of their best period in their history leaves them... a mid-table Championship club with two disastrous premier campaigns and one failed play-off campaign.”

Not sure a club with a league title, four FA cups, and the majority of its history in the top flight would call 3 seasons out of 10 in the Prem one of the 'best periods in their history'.

I'll accept its the best period this millennium, and we've nothing show... but thats still 3 more top flight visits than they've had in 25 years. We've been up there more seasons than they've even managed to get in the top 6.

I'll also give them 2 embarrassing rock bottom finishes in the Prem... but come the end of the season they'll have finished rock bottom of the Championship twice.

Muppet.

Its their new lie. This is United's best period in our entire history. They all know it's not true but they keep saying it because they're really, really upset

I think it goes back to at least 2005. When we beat them at the Lane with an Alan Quinn goal I remember seeing their supporters celebrating because we hadn’t battered them.

Similarly in 2009 both sets of fans were celebrating at the end of the 3-2 Blades win at the lane. Us because we’d actually won the game and them because they got a couple of goals back.

Obviously, no View From should we lose or draw so hopefully see you all on Sunday evening

It's not even the biggest derby this season. I've still not seen a single person claim this is more than a great opportunity to laugh at them

Apart from the first comment which is reasonable they still are the deluded wankers that they always are & will be .
Trying to play down that a Sheffield derby means nothing to them while cowering behind the settee .
If we do hammer them & personally I don’t think we will as it will their players last game of relevance this season , I won’t give 2 monkeys fucks if they’ve fielded a side from tea ladies & the Under 8’s , the history books only remember the result ⚔️

Weve won more FA cups than them.... which is by far the most prestigious cup competition in Britain. Its also 2nd to winning Premier league.

Like you say they go on about history yet majority of their fans base now has never seen them in the Premier league, its the last old guards that's clinging on to their over inflated success years.... which makes it worse that its 50-70 year olds are going off like that.

Come on own up who are the United fans that would rather relegate them then go up ?

Just for the record I couldn’t care less if we relegate them or not they are just another club to me. Admittedly a deluded scrounging whining club who play in a awful dump of a stadium, they are totally irrelevant to me and probably every other football fan out side of Sheffield.

That was such a hard read. I've read less arrogance in the views from actual big clubs, when we were having our disastrous premier campaigns (one of which was top 10 disaster levels)

From this I've concluded that they're not bothered as they're the greater club and they, Chansiri FC are on -7 so they've been down all season.... something, something they'll be back. Apologies to Roygbiv for having to trawl through the trough to find these absolute gems, but i couldn't read to the end.

I did think that this stood out though:

“The end of one of their best period in their history leaves them………….a mid-table Championship club.
With two disastrous premier campaigns and one failed play-off campaign.

Right now, they can only dream of this "best period in their (our) history in their future. The pig mentality summed up right there.

Didn’t wanna win. Next.

“even now in our lowest ebb and their highest peak, they are nowhere near us. This Sunday will at best for them be a Pyrrhic victory. . Trophies, global presence, history set, recency of historical significance, overall highs are much higher, overall lows are still higher, legendary players in their own right, stronger community engagement. They are the better team and “franchise” right now, but Wednesday are the greater club. “

The deludamol is strong within this one…..
