Pre-Match View From Wednesday — The View From
"Realistically, it’s likely to be a difficult scoreline for us. Wilder will have them well organised and highly motivated, so they’ll probably start with intensity.I expect we’ll be competitive for a spell, particularly if we stay disciplined and compact. I honestly hope we get double figures against Global Presence FC.A pathetic bunch of losers. Imagine trying to pretend this fixture doesn't mean anything. Some of their Owl supporting ancestors must be turning in their graves.
We win, and it's a "pyrhic" victory, but if they win, draw or even score a goal, they will be singing about it for generations.
Chansiri, and their own arrogance has driven most of them mad. I hope we bury the cunts.
An embarrassment of riches for you to plunder Roy. Like printing your own money.Obviously, no View From should we lose or draw so hopefully see you all on Sunday evening

I asked Co-Pilot to summarise it. Even Artificial Intelligence is laughing at them
Here’s the emotional temperature of that thread in a nutshell — and it’s a fascinating mix of bravado, fatalism, bitterness, gallows humour, and a few flashes of honesty.
“The Five Stages of Wednesday Fan Derby Grief”
1. Denial
“We’re not bothered.”
“We stopped caring in August.”
“This isn’t even a derby, really.”
Translation: They are absolutely, 100%, deeply, spiritually bothered.
2. Anger
Directed at:
The vibe is: “United celebrating this is like bragging about beating a toddler at arm wrestling.” Which is a bold statement from a fanbase currently being pinned by said toddler.
- Sheffield United
- Chansiri
- The universe
- The concept of football
- Anyone who mentions the word “relegation” within a 12‑mile radius
3. Bargaining
“If we lose, it doesn’t matter.”
“If we win, it’ll be the funniest thing since Carlos’ Wembley dance.”
“If we lose by fewer than four, that’s basically a win.”
This is the emotional equivalent of trying to haggle with fate at a car boot sale.
4. Depression
A deep, existential sadness hangs over the thread like fog over the Snake Pass. Comments include:
This is the kind of melancholy that can only be cured by a 94th‑minute shinner off someone’s backside.
- “We’ve been relegated since the warm-up of the first game.”
- “I checked out months ago.”
- “I’m only going for the beer.”
5. Acceptance (with banter)
The final stage. The Wednesday fan superpower. The gallows humour that has carried them through decades of emotional cardio.
Examples:
It’s like watching a man fall down a flight of stairs while insisting he meant to do it.
- “Let’s take inflatable ostriches and bounce even when we’re 3–0 down.”
- “They’ll make a DVD if they beat us.”
- “We’re the bigger club anyway.”
Bonus Themes
The “We’re Massive” Defence Mechanism
When the football is bad, the history gets louder. It’s like a forcefield powered by 1990s nostalgia.
The “We Don’t Care” Chorus
Repeated roughly every three comments. Always a sign that they care more than oxygen.
The Tiny, Forbidden Hope
A whisper in the wind: “What if… we actually win?” Quickly drowned out by: “Shut up, you’ll jinx it.”
In short: The mood is a chaotic blend of despair, bravado, self‑mockery, and the kind of humour you develop only after years of emotional relegation cardio.
It’s Sheffield Wednesday fans doing what they do best: suffering loudly, joking through the pain, and secretly dreaming of limbs in the away end.
There will deffo be some.Come on own up who are the United fans that would rather relegate them then go up ?
Just for the record I couldn’t care less if we relegate them or not they are just another club to me. Admittedly a deluded scrounging whining club who play in a awful dump of a stadium, they are totally irrelevant to me and probably every other football fan out side of Sheffield.
We are allowed to celebrate beating them. That's just made be angry. I absolutely despise them.
That's not me being obsessed. It's embarrassment at their fuckin arrogance.
4 League titles and 4 cups versus 1 League title and 4 cups - 12 of those 13 shared honours were 91+ years ago - They go on like they're decorated like Liverpool FFS.
When did it become a rule that we're no longer allowed to celebrate beating them BTW? Was it after the 2-4 at Hillsborough.
If the shoe was on the other foot, they'd shout about it no end.
I'm just gutted that Wilder allowed them those three 0-0 wins.
Obviously, no View From should we lose or draw so hopefully see you all on Sunday evening

He's got a point to be fair. We certainly aren't anywhere near them, apart from maybe geographically.Fucking hell:
"even now in our lowest ebb and their highest peak, they are nowhere near us"
These people actually walk amongst us.
Of course they are bothered - I've said it elsewhere, the worst case scenario for any club at the start of the season is to get relegated. And if you asked 100 football fans where the worst place to get it confirmed would be all 100 would state the home ground of their biggest rivals.Co-pilot with the statement of the Month BTW:
They are absolutely, 100%, deeply, spiritually bothered.
That cracked me up did that. Yep they certainly are the better club aren’t they FFS“even now in our lowest ebb and their highest peak, they are nowhere near us. This Sunday will at best for them be a Pyrrhic victory. . Trophies, global presence, history set, recency of historical significance, overall highs are much higher, overall lows are still higher, legendary players in their own right, stronger community engagement. They are the better team and “franchise” right now, but Wednesday are the greater club. “

I’m surprised there is any room left in the ground. Their Global presence will just fill the whole stadiumActually agree with some of the stuff about relegation. It's like kicking a dog after the vet has just given the injection to put it to sleep.
But my God, and they wonder why we talk about delusion.
Global presence LMFAO![]()
I feel this loony tune is taking the pissFucking global presence![]()
There is no way on earth that their semi final win was on any way lucky . If it wasn’t for Kelly in goal we would have lost 4/5 - 1 .Thanks Roy. I find it quite amusing that they are trying to tell themselves that any Blades victory will be a hollow victory bcos it’ll ’be ‘like a grown man kicking a one legged 5 year old child’ and in the next breath go on to say how great their (quite lucky) 2-1 semi final win was, lol. Hardly like we were on level pegging back then squad wise (on paper). Fuck em, we win Sunday and I will revel in it
