Pre-Match View From Forest

A forest supporting work/team mate said it was the big game this weekend...

I reminded him that it's just another 3 against little championship also rans.

He is genuinely shitting it though. My worry is that we are now becoming expectant of the result. There's a long way to go yet, but I'm confident that Wilder won't let the lads take this start for granted.

I'll be happier when we reach 50 points on Boxing Day lol

Not been tested yet - Tick
Play the Sheff United way - Tick
Think we will win (despite being shit) - Tick
Blunts - Tick

Even more predictable than the pigs, bunch of self entitled twats.

I predict Roygbiv will be reporting an "off day" by the home side, this time tomorrow night.

The Mighty Roygbiv goes marching on. Cheers mate :)

Im genuinely confused about who we need to play for it to count as us "being tested".
there was an owl on FH tonight, impressed that "the blades are playing above themselves", patronising twat. What these people don't realise is these players are not playing above themselves. This is their level and has been for months and months. Perhaps everyone we play is having an off day this season.

“Hard to judge where the Blades are at the moment – they’ve carried the confidence of their promotion season into a winning start, but they haven’t really been tested yet.”

of course not and let's guess this idiot thinks Nottingham Forrest are the team to do just that?

Not trying to be disrespectful, but they don't look like world beaters at present, So I am sure Wolves, Cardiff, Norwich, and even our backwards neighbours have surely have been a challenge and a test? or do the first 10 games not count the championship and Nottingham are doing that whole the season starts now bollocks?

Haven't been tested yet? Ha ha. Just goes to show how ignorant the average football fan is.

We battered the pigs - one of the pre season favorites and a team that easily beat forest 3-1.

We comfortably beat wolves - yeah they had a man sent off, but still had over 25 million worth of talent on show, to our "league 1" players.

We dominated Norwich.

We should have technically had a point against boro.

We beat big spending Derby comfortably.

It's so funny how these fans and club just keep underestimating us, long may it continue. Even funnier that they assume we're a Basset/Warnock esq. type of team playing the so called 'sheff united way'. Idiots, they have no idea.

Maybe they should try watching us before commenting.

Seen a couple of forest games on TV, and thought they were poor, not terrible but weak at the back. I think we will be too much for them. 1:3 Blades.

Form guide shows how poor they have been.
https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/championship/form-guide

I think we'll beat them easily unless they park the bus however looking at that guide they've been beaten by l**ds, wednesday, wolves, villa and fulham in their last 6 games - joking apart none of those teams are mugs.

I hope Sharp and Donaldson are back for this. Despite Clarke and Brooks' blossoming partnership, I think Sharp and Donaldson would be the better pair to press Forest's defence, who like to play it out.

Sorry mate, but I had to shake my head at your post.

We have just had two fantastic back to back wins, amongst the best in recent years, with the SAME team.

Other than injury, I cant think why CW or anybody else could even begin to consider changes that might affect the spirit and dynamics of the team.

Let it be, let it be.

It’s funny, but the number of clubs who say we haven’t played anybody yet, or been tested.....we are 10 games in. After another 2 games we will have played half the teams in the league, so if they were right then we must surely have only played the worst half.....that’s lucky eh!

Cardiff away....pigs Away....Boro away....Wolves at home, but granted made easier by Coady.
Looking at it, they could argue that other than Wolves we haven’t really played anybody really good at the lane. But that’s only because teams that were expected to be better have struggled. I had Brentford down as play offs minimum.

On the subject of ‘not been tested yet’ or ‘everyone we’ve beaten had an off day’, when my Wendy workmate trotted those lines out this week I replied “well someone had better show up and beat us at some point then or we’ll end up as champions by default”.

Controversial, I know. But to me, that's the best team to put out to exploit Forest's weaknesses at the back.

I doubt Sharp and Donaldson will start to be honest... I'm not in football management for a reason ;)

Used to be my favourite away day, early train, beers on the canal then last train back around 9pm.
