Pre-Match View From Coventry

I really feel for the Coventry supporters, after there whacking great points deduction last season, really thought they were going to get promotion in what was a great effort by their team coupled with their time playing miles away from their home city. Losing Clarke & Wilson was a massive blow to them. If they approach this match as most other away teams have this season they will have a half decent chance of taking away at least a point ( I hope not), however, we now seem to have our own Callum Wilson in Matty Done.

just been reading through the coventry forum and i feel so lucky we havent got that bad at least our club isnt dying ..we might moan about mcabe but by the sounds of it this SISU is killing coventry and will take them a while to recover i suspect.
btw ive been a lurker for quite a while thought i may aswell post :)

Welcome on board! I have some friends who are Cov fans and their experience over the last few years is a stark warning to any football fan of just how badly things can go wrong with bad decisions, bad luck and bad owners. So, I can be accused of being a clapper, but the litmus test is this... How does it compare to how Coventry City, or indeed Rangers, are run.

"As ever going to Sheffield is more about decent pubs and beer than football. “

A fair summary of the last few years.

There's a vid somewhere of a couple of Cov fans that look like those two - who were convinced that they would brush us aside in the FA Cup that year we beat them in the quarters - they were at the front of the "Brammel" Lane stand LT and couldn't believe that the mighty Coventry lost the likes of us.

I know a fair number of Cov fans and the two tossers in that docu-snip are not very representative of the majority.
They still think they are a big club though but in truth once they lost Highfield Road (good ground that one) it was the death knell for them.
Can't see them ever regaining top flight status now the traditional fan base has been decimated.

“We are going but only because I want to go to Meadowhall before the game. “
“Be very surprised if we get anything there. “

Eh ?

Sad story about that fan passing away in his seat.

Although most their fans are sounding like we did 12 months ago.

And hopefully this tosser (soon to appear in his annual pilgrimage to The Crucible) is not representative either. 'Where you going on holiday this year?'. 'Oh, the usual. Two weeks sat inside a theatre in Sheffield.'
