I am finding it a bit strange that some of our fans still want to refer back to "some of our old habits"

It is a long long time since a club actually beat us because of our complacency - in fact I don't think there is one under Wilder.

Walsall sussed us out last season and the three loses at the start of the season was due to inadequate players for formation used.
Fleetwood also did a very good job on us - in fact they did in both games home and away - their management too sussed us out.
This season, Boro, although very competent for a 30 minute spell before half time and pretty average after it, we were a tad unlucky.
Cardiff did what NW teams do - no disgrace there - too big, too strong and it was a lesson learned.

We do not have "old" habits - CW has banished them all.

If teams are going to turn us over this season, they will deserve it because they are better or suss us out like the Walsall management did last season.

If we take our A game to Bolton this evening - if we pass and move - if we press when required - we will win the game, because we quite frankly have better footballers than Bolton.

That's a bit of a generalisation me owd. SOME of them maybe but the vast majority would welcome you into their pub and be very humble about their team. Including my missus and her mates.;) Having lived their for several years I might just have the edge on that kind of knowledge and can speak from experience.
A scattering of gobshite numpties never has and never will represent the majority.Just like at at "The Lane"

Oh and that nasty little club gave me and fellow students access to make a Documentary for a Uni project, plus free tickets for the Press box and fed us too.And John McGinley ,Joe Riley and Fabrice Muamba offered their time gladly and epitomise a Family Club that does much for its community.

Whatever your negative first-hand experience, I would suggest you might like to be a little less judgmental without the full story.:)

Mmmm.....you may be right however, some remember the caustic comments from the manager and chairman last season. It leaves a taste in your mouth like you've been sucking a grapefruit. The fans, well, they are just fans like everywhere. Some numpties and some good guys.

This site is still so fucking bitter its pathetic

They all tipped us to go down on that site and apparently most experts predicted us to go down, from what I saw not many expected us to go down.

From the BBC Football web site.....

Bolton defender David Wheater (knee) should be fit enough to start against Sheffield United on Tuesday.

But Derik Osede (groin) and Stephen Darby (hamstring) were awaiting scan results on Monday, while midfielder Filipe Morais (knee) is doubtful.

Sheffield United striker Clayton Donaldson (hamstring) may miss out after injuring himself while scoring twice on his debut at Sunderland.

Leon Clarke is available again after completing a three-game suspension.

Match facts
  • Bolton haven't lost any of their last 10 home league meetings against Sheffield United (W6 D4) since a 2-1 defeat in April 1977.
  • The Blades have managed to keep one clean sheet in their 38 league visits to Bolton - long-serving goalkeeper Alan Hodgkinson doing so in November 1969.
  • Bolton have started a Championship season with just two points for three out of the last four appearances in the division, although the Trotters survived relegation in both of those seasons.
  • The Blades have won three successive games in the second tier for the first time since January 2010 under Kevin Blackwell.
  • Clayton Donaldson is only the second different player to score in the Championship for Sheffield United this season, the joint-fewest spread of goalscorers in the division (also Birmingham).

That guys obviously a cock but he runs an opinion piece site on the interwebz, so that's a given. Can't think of many experts outside of the metropolitan city of Bolton that suggested we'd struggle.

To summarise - wanker-post

Blimey. No wonder all these top clubs won't play us anymore. :)

Hope this isn't a whoosh moment but is this real or a wind up? I've got a mate in Italy who's a massive AC Milan fan and would love to share details of this with him!

Between 1st and 12th June we played in a tournament at Santiago, Chile. We beat Seville 4-1, lost 2-0 to a Chile World Cup X1, drew 1-1 against a Mexico World Cup X1 and beat AC Milan 4-0 (scorers were Woodward, Mallender, Badger and Tony Wagstaff). The World Cup was between 11th and 30th July. There were three AC Milan players (Rosato, Rivera and Lodetti) in the Italy World Cup squad so I assume they didnt play against us?

Cheers Silent! There's a Spanish language Wikipedia page about the tournament!

Hopefully this is the last time we have to travel to that Lego shitheap before they go under.
Nobody will miss them, not even the backward cunts of Horwich, if their shit fan base is anything to go by.
They'll slide into the shit where they belong now they don't have that ugly cunt Phil Gartside to keep them punching above their weight.

Johnny Russell not getting the recognition he deserves.
