As always, if you watch the SUFC ones on the club website, you'll need to log in. I'll upload any Pompey presser vids and SUFC YouTube clips as and when the clubs post them, but if you find something before me, please add it to the thread.

Wilder is live on Friday. Time TBC. Link below will work later on when the club post it 👇

I will post some notes once I've watched it

John Mousinho pre-match presser (it says post-match on the thumbnail, but that's just a mistake by them)

I'll give him one more free advertisement ;)

Do feel free to post his presser links in the future threads though if you want, it's a forum for everyone

Short one today

Injuries & Absences:

  • Kieffer Moore "available for Luton",
  • The rest either back tomorrow or Middlesbrough

New players getting up to speed:

  • Rob Holding settling in well. "Personality fits". In terms of being match-ready, he is "fine and will be involved on Saturday". "He's at a level [of fitness] that we are happy with". "He's just a straight loan [no option or obligation to buy] until the end of the season, but someone we are interested in [longer term]". "He's played in huge pressure games. You're not at a club like Arsenal on sentiment. You're there because you're good enough". He talked about Rob's attitude in training and how he's here to show that quality and it to rub off on everybody. "Everyone's been super-impressed with everything he's done and how he's gone about it"
  • On Christian Nwachukwu and Jefferson Cáceres. "Christian hasn't been in the building yet, sorting out work permits. Jefferson has been in and undergoing tests. It's going to be interesting seeing how these boys go. We're not expecting them to hit the ground running, but if we get some involvement from them between now and the end of the season, that's good"
  • "The training standards have risen." "The selection options are very good". "It drives standards"
  • With Tom Cannon, "if people think [the new players] gonna hit the game running after one training session, they know nothing about football. I don't expect it to be 10, 15, 20 games [to get up to speed] but both him slotting in to us and us adjusting to him [will take a bit of time, but fuelled by], his work ethic, his attitude." "He wants to learn, he wants to improve and he wanted to come here. If I felt any apprehension, I'd have told the owners to keep their money". "He played a major part of getting the win [at Derby] and he will improve and get stronger"

JTW:

  • Whether any of the loans are people we'd look to make perm, "Theres always a medium to long-term view to everyone we bring in on loan"
  • "It's game on now. 16 games to go. The exciting part of the season is coming up, where you have to be strong, maintain performances. We're in a fabulous position with it all to play for, and we have to embrace it"

Portsmouth:
  • "We've watched their games. People talk about their home and away form being two different animals"
  • "There an honest group. John has done the journey"
  • "They've been a bit unfortunate away from home. It's a difficult league, but I wouldn't bet against them having another season in the championship"
  • "They've got character, personality. They're tough. They've got experience in there. They have had a good JTW. They'll be energised and looking forward to the trip up North"

General:
  • Not respectful for me to paraphrase what was said about the young lad that was murdered, and I'm not a quick enough typist to get it all verbatim. Mentioned that there's things arranged for tomorrow
  • "Always looking for the [small margins] that might help and we got one [Bristol City being a day earlier, giving extra prep for the Wendy game]"
  • On John Fleck, " I spoke to our doc, who had spoken to the Chesterfield doctor, and he's OK. He's back home and recovering. Delighted that he's on his way to a full recovery"

Interviewers: Andy Giddins, Danny Hall

Thanks Cappy. Really appreciate these summaries 👍

  • "Always looking for the [small margins] that might help and we got one [Bristol City being a day earlier, giving extra prep for the Wendy game]"
I don't get the happiness about this, TBH.

We've gone from a Saturday, Wednesday, Sunday 3-game week, to a Saturday, Tuesday, Sunday.

We lose a day after the Preston game, meaning 2 games in 4 days. If it had stayed a Wednesday fixture, we would have had 3 days off in-between each game 🤷‍♂️

Cheers Cappy! Just watched it myself but very good summary as usual

We get the same amount of time to prepare for the Bristol City game as they do but we get a day more than weds do (and they're away at Norwich) so we've got an advantage over them where previously we didn't have one.

“"if people think [the new players] gonna hit the game running after one training session, they know nothing about football.”

We know who that cap(s) fits……….
