Bloke has been attacked by about 11 Bolton yobs

Slashed him with s broken bottle the guy looks in a serious condition

Scum bags

As Grandpa simpson would say..." come back teeth.....",
On a footy note remember us playing Bolton and Wimbledon when IP was in charge the season we went up with him and we played the Wombles on a Tuesday night and lost 2-0 I think or 2-1, then lost to Bolton at home on the the following Satdi at home...twas season Keefy got that header away at Bolton on that bank hol Monday when we lost 3-1 at t'owd Bolton ground...vital goal

More importantly, if this is actually true, where was other Blades going to his aid? Or where were Durham's finest who were dotted about around the area?

Yes mate it's true he's in a serious condition life threatening

Life threatening for having his face slashed? Who told you this then, police, paramedics?

Saw the after math of this from the top deck of a bus. It's true in as far as there was a bloke laying in a pool of blood at the bus stop there. Woman was knelt down next to him trying to support his head, police were wading in.

That was at the end of the 1983-4 season.

The Bolton match was away at Burnden Park on Easter Monday afternoon. We lost 3-1. The Wimbledon game was at Bramall Lane on the preceding Saturday. We lost that 2-1. We were 2-0 down, but Colin Morris scored late on to make the last few minutes a bit more interesting than they otherwise would have been.

Not a good Easter weekend, but we were given an unexpected boost after losing to Bolton when bottom club Port Vale beat Hull in an evening kick off.

Someone was giving him mouth to mouth when I drove past hope he's alright!
Couple of kids about 16 or 17 were cuffed by the police about 100 yards down the road with another 10 or so stood around them.
Notlob scum

I walked past after it happened. 40ish man - a Blade - lying in pool of blood opposite side of road from decathlon. Looked like his young son with him. Clearly no hooligan. Hope he's ok.

Group of Bolton fans - late teens - one being arrested and another with a cut around his eye who looked like he'd just been punched. Had I not been with my son I would have battered them, obviously. Plenty of Blades but the police were all over it when I got there.
