Do I need to draw you a picture??

It took 2 pages on sky sports news ticket to list our doubtful / unavailable players.
same every week isn't it? there was 5 players doubtful wednesday we named an unchanged side. We'll wait for the rearranged game

Should be standard practice for all clubs to have undersoil heating.
I realise this could be difficult with the cost for a lot of clubs, but, this aint Scandinavia FFS!!

You are correct Gaz. Clubs should not be allowed into the Championship (Pemier League Lite) if their facilities can't meet basic standards.
Undersoil heatings is one of them ,as well as decent bogs and a good meat pie.
The mentality of the Football League is still trapped in the 1930's in these respects.
The story of Posh_Sheff is shocking. Amatuerish club indeed. Ticket office is probably still being run by old Nelly who's been there since 1975.

Aren't Pompey without undersoil heating as well? And Fulham?

Guess they think they can do without in the sultry south.

Much is made of Peterborough having a "quaint" ground because they have terracing. They also have a huge swathe of frozen tundra too. Not so "quaint" for those who have spent their hard earned money for no game, is it?

Don't know if I'm allowed but you can guess ,also involving some bird who was on Celebrity get me out of here.

the one with the huge cans? Please tell me it was a spitroast or a girl on girl thing?

UTB

Gutted for those fans who've travelled, but secretly quite chuffed as i wanted to go, but couldn't.

Seconded. :D

But, I do feel sorry for all you who made it there or thereabouts to find out it was postponed.

just got back, didn't mind too much - a few pints and no feeling of 3 points lost, at least for another few weeks :-)

Wot no game!!

Used the last bit of petrol in my car to get there too!! Bummer.

Nevermind - at least I had chance to meet up with Sheepdip and have a bit of a catch up over some pub grub. Worse for him as he had travelled his 80 min journey freezing his buns off on his Yammy TDM. That's dedication for you.

And let's not forget the wise words of that expert from the University of East Anglia who forecast several years ago that snow would soon be a thing of the past in England because of global warming.

I can't wait to read Deadbat's report.

And where's Micalijo? We've slipped another place in the league. Surely that's reason enough to start another 'Blackwell Out!' thread.

:)

just got back, didnt end up a bad day after all had a dinner in yates n hen round the town centre not a bad little place to be fair, and no gutted feeling on the way home.

We got right to the ground only to be told it was off on getting out of the car , even the team bus turned up at the ground at 12.30 stayed for 5 mins and went again.

Had a drink for an hour in the pub on the barge then went to the Harvester on the showground for some grub and headed off home , ended up spending 40 quid for nowt :(

Its the 3rd time for me ... the Gillingham one in the 80's , Bradford (Cec Podd days) we actually got in the ground and it got called off waterlogged and today.

Third time for me too, but the first two were the same cup tie at Notts County a few years back! Mind you, when it eventually happened it was worth the wait.

On behalf of all Peterborough United fans we would like to say sorry if you traveled down to London Road , by the sounds of it there has been a total F-UP , according to fans the black plastic sheeting that covers the pitch was put on late, it the snowed and melted and the water got under the covers and froze , off all the football league games ours was the only one called off which it a total embarrasment.

Got the news via a call from Charlie Hartfield as we sat on the train at Grantham (next stop Posh!) hed had a text from Morgs .Didnt believe him at first as it was bright sunshine outside and a pretty glorious day .
Confirmed via I phone link to Posh site .So it was £42.00 rail fare to have a few beers, watch Man Utd losing v Everton and a few games games of chase the ace . Doh!
Happened a few times in the past ,Gillingham as mentioned by Sitwell ,Plymouth when we had gone for the weekend and Plymouth again I think
