If Portsmouth do go into administration, then liquidation, all their players would be jobless. If this does happen, realisticly, who would you want to snap up on a free?

I'm go for Herman Hariedason, (yes i know i cant spell his name)

Why would they be jobless if they went into Admin? Palace are in Admin and the players aren't jobless

Danny Webber and Michael Brown ha ha I'll get in before anyone else does

If Portsmouth do go into administration, then liquidation,

Liquidation is not certain, but it is possible that the administrators could find that the only value in the club is to sell its playing assets and wind the club up. It may generate more money for the creditors than waiting for some idiot with more money than sense buying the lot in a hand basket for say 20p in the £, but I doubt it. The administrator is there first to see if a deal can be done, not to liquidate the assets. They will probably end up with new owners, who will buy the sorry mess for a reasonable fee and end up with a lot of the debt written off. I would bet though that landing in the CCC without a squad, and still with a shitty ground last painted in the 1950s, they would be well set for the long road down to L1.

I wouldn't have any of their players.

It says they'll only lose 9pts for administration. Why's that? Is that because they're premiership and above mesely peasants like Crystal Palace, Darlington & Southampton?

Yep rules in premier are different, BUT they could start next season on -15 points i think IF they don't exit the admin in an acceptable way. That's what happened to Rovrum, Luton and Bournemouth isn't it?

It's because FL play 46 game seasons wheras PL is 38 so it's 9 instead of 10 point deduction pro-rata.

If that was an eventuality, players I would 'realistically' (I use that term loosely) have from that team;

Michael Brown
Tommy Smith
Marc Wilson

I fear even those players' wages would be beyond our means. Any of their other players are either shite or completely unattainable for us. If we got taken over by billionaires tomorrow I would have;

David James
Tal Ben-Haim
Papa Bouba Diop
Jamie O'Hara
Kevin Prince-Boateng
John Utaka

:D

The rest are toilet!

David James is toilet. And a fooking moron to boot.

Whether he's toilet or not (which I dont believe he is), he's the best english goalkeeper.

He has improved significantly with age IMO. He's also better than any of our goalkeepers and I dont know of any better shot-stoppers, other than Shay Given.

Being the best English goalkeeper (which I don't believe he is) is nothing to write home about at the moment. He's still an absolute liability, regardless of how much he has improved over the years. He still flaps at crosses and drops bollocks regularly.

Unrelated to his ability, he does think the game of football would be improved if substitutions could be made for certain "plays" such as bringing David Beckham on to take a free-kick and take him off again. You know, like American Football. :eek:

And he thinks Portsmouth's problems stem entirely from winning the FA Cup. :rolleyes:

I agree, the highlighted opinion is slightly idiotic on his part. As for the final point, I can understand what he is getting at but it's not put across in the right manner. The FA Cup was just a symptom of them living beyond their means. It wasn't the cause of their current problems. It was just the high point before it all went pear shaped.

That said, I still think he is a decent goalkeeper. Not nearly as eratic as he used to be.
