Why is it that United win so few games away from the Lane these days.?
Blackwell seems to me to be a negative manager, without belief in his own team's ability and gives far too much respect to most "home teams"
The game is still eleven agains eleven Kev, home or away. Why not treat us to some decent, imaginative football for a change and let our opponents do the worrying. And another thing, with the number of NON United players on view you should change the teams name to a SELECT 11 or Five Blades and Others. Rant over UTB

It's been a strange season in that respect for several teams - good at home but rubbish away.

Us, Nottingham Forest, Leicester, Blackpool, Doncaster and Coventry are all in the top 10 despite having terrible away form.

Our away record last season was awesome! We didnt lose a game between October and Easter! however, i have to agree that this season it has sucked! At least the home form is holding us up!

I would even hazard a guess that our home form is better this season than it was last season.

Generally you find that the teams who go up usually win at least 10 away games per season

Away tactics based on soaking up pressure and breaking require a solid defence.

We had a solid defence last seasomn, and a rubbish defence this season. Our tactics haven't changed.

It's not rocket science......:D

Yep. Agree with that Alcoblade but the system isn't working for us and we have no plan'B'
Perhaps a more attacking formation might reap some reward or at least be more entertaining.

Can you really include them? They were unbeaten all season then bang lose 6 in a row.

If those 6 had been spread over the season would it be so terrible?

Losing 6 away from home two thirds of a way through a season? For a team aiming for top 2.... yes it is awful.

Win at home. Draw away. the formula for success.

Obviously you're going to lose some games so 6 over the season isn't too bad. We only lost 5 last season and had the best record in the division.

if you want me to get really picky... wolves lost 7 away last season. that's poor for a team trying to win the league. It's this division mate!

Our away record this season

Coventry Lost

Blackpool Lost

WBA Lost

Peterboro Postponed

Peterboro Lost

and we are at Donny tomorrow
