The new post Brexit rules on foreign coaches mean that you can only appoint one who has worked two full seasons in the last three years at a club in the top division of one of the five major European leagues... do you think when we are in The Championship we are going to attract someone of that standard?
Incidentally if these rules had been in place three years ago Norwich would not have been able to appoint Farke, Leeds would not have been able to appoint Bielsa and Man U would not have been able to appoint Ole.. The Norwegian League not being classed as one of the five major leagues.
I'm sorry mate but the above is just plain incorrect.
The qualifying criteria from a time perspective is either 24 continuous months or 36 cumulative months within the past 5 years.
Also the other criteria is that time must have been as a manager/head coach at a club in a "Top League". For the purposes of the PBS (Points Based System) a "Top League" is any included in Bands 1 - 5.
Band 1 - English Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1.
Band 2 - Portuguese Primeira Liga, Eredivisie, Belgian First Division A, Turkish Super Lig and English Championship.
Band 3 - Russian Premier League, Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, Primera División of Argentina, Liga MX and Scottish Premiership.
Band 4 - Czech First League, Croatian First Football League, Swiss Super League, La Liga 2, Bundesliga 2, Ukrainian Premier League, Greek Superleague, Colombian Categoría Primera A, USA Major League Soccer, Austrian Football Bundesliga and Ligue 2.
Band 5 - Serbian SuperLiga, Danish Superliga, Polish Ekstraklasa, Slovenian Prva Liga, Chilean Primera División, Uruguayan Primera División and Chinese Super League.
