Managerial position

Managers can be prised away from clubs. You just have to pay compensation.
I know but who'd come? not sure of your age but for years United have always had champagne ideas, and brown ale pockets and attitudes.

I keep saying this but I will say it again: we were in the top 30 in the World for income last year. Not the UK, the world.

We could have had the pick of players from a number of good standard leagues who would not have demanded 50k a week. The Dubravkas of this world.

That isn’t easy, admittedly, but it doesn’t seem to have been tried. We went for Matty cash, didn’t get him, gave up. That’s pathetic.

But one thing Wilder did say earlier this season was that United were caught out by domestic pricing for players and how much business other PL teams did. Again, poor planning.
We didn’t give up, we got Bogle who I believe will turn out to be a very good signing.

It is my assumption that the owner of the club and those advising him have considered who they will want to appoint.

If I were in charge, I would have also done that.

I would have fired him after the WBA away game, actually.
You would probably need to be more wealthy than the prince, put in more money than the prince has done so far and easily give up to the players' agents demands when trying to bring in players. You wouldnt be afraid of telling the manager who they should be signing and telling him to change the tactics?

I'm assuming Barney that you want a change?
Because consciously or not, this poll has definitely been worded to favour a Wilder out vote.
There's a reason why the wording of the brexit referendum was such a hotly debated subject. Wording does impact how people vote.

I voted to keep Wilder and at the moment 3 out of 4 of us have voted the same.

In my opinion, Wilder deserves the chance to have another go next season, and despite the shit results since the end of last season, we are still progressing on and off the field.

We don’t have to look too far at other teams, or too far in our own history, to see knee jerk reactions to losing runs can bring disharmony to a club.

Obviously this is my own opinion and those who voted the other way are entitled to theirs (plus a few visiting pigs who voted to sack Wilder)

plus visiting pig fans, your problems are a lot, lot worse than ours and I don’t think you will have a club in 5 years time.

The new post Brexit rules on foreign coaches mean that you can only appoint one who has worked two full seasons in the last three years at a club in the top division of one of the five major European leagues... do you think when we are in The Championship we are going to attract someone of that standard?

Incidentally if these rules had been in place three years ago Norwich would not have been able to appoint Farke, Leeds would not have been able to appoint Bielsa and Man U would not have been able to appoint Ole.. The Norwegian League not being classed as one of the five major leagues.

I'm sorry mate but the above is just plain incorrect.

The qualifying criteria from a time perspective is either 24 continuous months or 36 cumulative months within the past 5 years.

Also the other criteria is that time must have been as a manager/head coach at a club in a "Top League". For the purposes of the PBS (Points Based System) a "Top League" is any included in Bands 1 - 5.

Band 1 - English Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1.

Band 2 - Portuguese Primeira Liga, Eredivisie, Belgian First Division A, Turkish Super Lig and English Championship.

Band 3 - Russian Premier League, Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, Primera División of Argentina, Liga MX and Scottish Premiership.

Band 4 - Czech First League, Croatian First Football League, Swiss Super League, La Liga 2, Bundesliga 2, Ukrainian Premier League, Greek Superleague, Colombian Categoría Primera A, USA Major League Soccer, Austrian Football Bundesliga and Ligue 2.

Band 5 - Serbian SuperLiga, Danish Superliga, Polish Ekstraklasa, Slovenian Prva Liga, Chilean Primera División, Uruguayan Primera División and Chinese Super League.

If we were going to change manager, we should've done so when our PL position was still salvageable. May as well stick with CW and give him a crack at the championship.

In fairness, injuries have absolutely decimated us this season. We can argue that signings weren't great, but personally I welcomed Berge, Brewster, Ramsdale and McBurnie. Fans need to understand we are operating under a hugely inferior budget to almost every other PL team, coupled with the fact that we were promoted after only two championship seasons so we barely had a squad with strength in depth for the Championship, let alone PL.

Let's see.
