How did he do tonight? Will we be ok with him the only quick player in the team?

What is Murphy's injury? Any news at all on Forte?

Same old. Same old. Good away, struggle at home. Don't have strength in depth to compensate for loss of Miller, Forte & Murphy. No cutting edge at home.

Murphy has a groin strain but don't know about timelines for either him or Forte. Poleon was very direct and lively until he ran out of steam by the sounds of it.

He was a bit up and down by all accounts. Pretty one dimensional apparently. Definitely a slippery customer but almost useless without any support up top.

I'm here all week

Never got the ball to run onto.
Isn't a left winger but caused problems.
I wanted to see him on the right where he would have caused more problems running in a straight line

Murphy doubtful for Saturday, but there is a chance.

Word from Barcelonmouth is that he's faking it.

Our only threat. Dissapointed to see him go off, didn't look tired and had the beating of the full back.

Thought he took a while to get into the game, mainly down to a lack of early service, but once he settled he looked lively. He has decent close control and can turn a defender then get away from him. Not frightened to shoot either.

I would have left Poleon on for longer and taken Robson off a lot earlier. Robson's ok but gives the ball away far too much and for a player of his experience to dally getting the ball on to his left foot in our own box, rather than just clear it is criminal.

As for those likening him to McCall? Not in a million years, he's far inferior. McDonald does a better "McCall role".

Macdonald wasthe worst player on the pitch tonight ,hate to see lack of effort ,love his ability but his application tonight was a disgrace.

McDonald suffered, once again, from a lack of movement from the players around him. He lost the ball more than usual tonight, but no more than most of the other players. Maguire, McMahon and Robson were all worse than him.

McDonald's main problem is his own ability. People expect more from him than other players. Him on an off day is still better than pretty much anyone else we have.

As for his lack of effort, it really doesn't bother me. Part of what I enjoy about watching him is the effortlessness.

He was included very much in the lack of movement himself unfortunately.

He was bone fucking idle ,unacceptable no matter how good you are. Really cant believe you think Robson was worse than him.

McDonald is the closest we have had to Tony Currie in every way shape or form, including that element of disinterest. I'll take your word for it tonight but I do knwo he thrives on the movement in front of him of which there was apparently, very little?

polion was our best out field player by far sharp danger man with pace to burn. but he needs much better service than what he got, he needs quick passing to feet or through balls no good giving him high balls to win in air, he not that type of player. its hard to shine if your feeding of scraps. all in all we held ball way too long didnt pass fast enough and look scared to shoot fromedge of box sooner pass it out wide for a cross only to drop it into the waiting arms of there keeper.robson had a poor show looked a bit lost at times gave ball away more than any one else but hey every one has off days. what the worse thing about today was in the last ten mins we looked a far better team wonder why it took so long to get going ..

Complete rollicks.

Assume you spoke to Kevin and confirmed with him that he wasnt up for it tonight. As I have been told simIlarly many times, why not piss of to Australia and watch your hero play?

I would rather watch a lazy McDonald than most other players in our division giving the proverbial "110%".

And yes, I thought Robson was poor. Worse than McDonald. He got on the ball about as much but seemed to give it away every time and that was before he tired.

Maguire's distribution was also diabolical. It was as if he was playing for them for a spell in the first half.

McDonald, for all his lack of effort, kept the ball more often than not (though not as often as usual) and tried to carry it forward or switch the play. He had no outlet on the right because Robson kept drifting inside and McMahon wouldn't cross the half way line and on the left Flynn always seemed to be marked closely.

They did their best to nullify us and, unfortunately, it worked. We missed our pact, injured players to give an outlet.

Why dont you piss off to Hillsboro and watch yours ?

No way. The golden boy Harry was awful tonight, if that had been his first game not his 100th then he wouldnt have got a 2nd in a long time. But for George Long we would be talking about a defeat tonight

Super Danny Wilson took our most lively forward off and replaced him with an invisible man, so invisible it could have been either Jamie Hoyland or John Gannon - or both! Then he put the legend that is Creswell on to do his award winning statue of Derek Dooley from the car park impersonation which the crowd loved. Well, I say crowd, there were about 150 Orient fans who couldn't believe their luck at how the opposition went from looking likely to nick a winner to only just managing to hang on for a point. Way to go Danny, way to go.

Glynn Hodges?

No not really. The equivocal central midfielders we have had over the years, Cowans, Hutchison, McCall.. all had better players around them.

i thought he really started to get in the game second half and KMac was starting to find him.. and then Wilson took him off
he's fast and has good feet.. but why oh fucking why does DW persist in putting left footers on the right and right on the left.. it does my fucking head in.. and in the background Flynn plods around

yeah me too.. some of macdonalds touches make me laugh.. one pass in the first half where he dissected five players was worth the entry fee alone
but that is the problem mate.. many of our 'fans' would rather see someone like flynn plod around putting in a shift with absolutely NO end product.. they like grafters and battlers .. Monty made a career of it. it's worrying

super_pig under Wilson, Flynn is a necessary evil. Wilson's overriding desire from his back four is solidity but that comes with a lack of pace and movement, meaning someone like Flynn is necessary to do the running. Problem is that he's not particularly effective going forward.

If we had two decent full backs then we'd be a much, much better side. McMahon's got no pace; Higginbotham is past it; Westlake's not good enough; Williams is far too inconsistent; LJF is injured.

It's not about graft V laziness, or craft V battle for me, it's about the way we (don't) mix those up.

It's ponderous, one dimensional stuff - has a promotion challenge ever been so boring? Not for me.

Flynn just sums us up - no rush to penetrate - sideways / backwards football. If this was the eutopia we were supposed to be working towards, please stop - promotion or not.
