I was thinking about this last night , but 4 points from those games is probably not far off what we may have expected.

Aston Villa - would've hoped we could've beaten them as they're pretty poor. Expected a win -2pts.
Newcastle - sure we would've all taken a draw up there -2pts.
Man Utd - given their form, a loss was inevitable = 0pts.
Spurs - sure a draw would've been expected and accepted - +2pt

So, I would guess that most of us would've been happy with 5pts from those games - WDLD and we've come away with 4. Give us the ghost goal at Villa and we've got 6pts.

The Newcastle result was the killer, I'm convinced we wouldn't have lost there back in March. But last nights result put us near enough back on track. It was a massive result. Same again Sunday and we can start believing again.

And if Egan had not been sent off at Newcastle, I'm fairly confident we wouldn't have lost that game either.

1 point per game for the remaining games after the restart would have been fine for me.

I don't agree that we'd have beat Newcastle, Bruce has got a hoodoo over Wilder and his wanky style of play doesn't suit our game.

yeah we had alot of bad luck exacerbated by the fact that we have been quite slow starters. & agree with man utd something just clicked. the great team on paper has finally been the great team on grass. this is the lockdown table. i think weve done quite well compared to some of the rivals only a point behind Leicester. had the technology worked only a point of champions liverpool
