I'd take 2 or 3 points from next 2 as both are away games

Whether that's 2 draws or 1 win and 1 loss.

I said 9 points initially (I think). I’ll increase that to 10, we’ll be threadbare next game and then get a win and draw from the last 2 of the 5.

We've got a good break as we are going Friday to a week on Sunday so that will allow a decent rest for those carrying niggles.

Question is who plays centre back with Robbo, Gilchrist or RND?

Gilchrist. The only specialist CB who is available.
Big test for him and it leaves us a little lightweight in the middle. Be interesting to see if Wilder trusts Seriki for a full game away at one of the better teams.

WBA don’t score goals. They are averaging very slightly over 1 per game. They don’t carry an attacking threat.

But they are also tight defensively, hence the number of goalless draws. I think we need to worry more about breaking them down than conceding. So playing Seriki is a no brainer for me.

I think Seriki is better than Gilchrist all round but I'm not sure Wilder does. I think u r right we will go with Burrows, Robbo, Gulchrist, Seriki with RND on the bench. However it wouldn't be a massive surprise to see Wilder pull a rabbit out of the hat and either go 3 centre backs (which i hate) with Gilchrist Robbo RND and Vurrows and Seriki as wing backs or to bring Shakleton in as right back with Seriki an option offf the bench

It’s so interesting to see that, as a fanbase, we are SO negative about our prospects. Look at the predictions going back to when the thread started. It’s doom and gloom.
We are poles apart from the pigs fans, they are an abysmal side yet their fans constantly predict that they’ll win every game almost- the view from Sunderland also oozed confidence.
Why are our lot the opposite?
(Maybe im overly positive but I was vocal on here that I expect top 2 and to be in the top 6 all season long)

It's not about positivity.
It's about pessimism and arrogance.
Wilder will know what we are like. It's not through a disrespect of the players either, its us as a fan base.
I quite like it.
We're hated as it is for some reason, but as least we aren't arrogant or delusional like 2 other local rivals.

Seriki-Gilchrist-Robbo-Burrows

Probably the best back 4 we can put out against WBA, Maja and Grant will be a challenge but their goals have dried up a bit in recent games.

Silver lining I guess is that back four can now spend a full week training together, knowing they're starting

It certainly will be an indicator of our potention going into Xmas.

I am major league happy going into this international break with the state of the club as it is and all the hard work everyone has put in.

As far as the state of the takeover, I realized that the key investors are mainly from Cleveland, OH, which is only an hour or so away from where I live in SW Ohio, so I sent an email to Steve Rosen letting him know that a SUFC fan and ex-academy guy lives only an hour or so south of him. They are definately financially sound investors.

Maybe he will invite me to dinner and for advice one weekend!!!!

What should I tell him if he invites me to dinner?

To use a hand whisk for mixing the Yorkshire puds🤓😊👍

Draw at worst in next two, just hope we ditch the farting around stuff at goal kicks, serves no purpose other than putting ourselves under pressure

If we set for a short pass but then kick it long from it, it does prevent the other team setting for a long kick. It give a slight %age chance improvement for the attacking team to get possession from the long ball

But I’m not keen either aesthetically

He might be tempted to go back to 3-5-2
Think it could actually work against west brom
Midfield of souza and hamer front two of Campbell and rak sakyi in front of cooper
Burrows seriki RND gilchrist and Robbo

God I hope not we've been there and it didn't work !

But it shows another "quality" centre half is needed in January, I've nothing against Robbo or rnd but we need to cover off the second half of the season so we stay in the position we're in
If davies stays fit we've 4 good options for the middle 2 ! ( I've been looking but what's the prognosis for blaster ?)
Other on the wishlist is another attacking midfielder

One to go. 8 points gained. Almost 75% of voters still in it. Shows we aren't a daft group after all

UTB

Edit: How about this from John Street West Terrace

Coventry (A). D
Oxford U (H). W
Sunderland (H). W
WBA (A). D
Millwall (A). L

Hope you're wrong for the last one !!!!

Goes without saying we keep scoring points at this rate we are up.
Now onto what should be easier games to see if we can get three points against teams that will just park the bus.

11/15. That's brilliant blades. Unbeaten, too.

40.9% had the correct level of optimism
