We've got a good break as we are going Friday to a week on Sunday so that will allow a decent rest for those carrying niggles.I said 9 points initially (I think). I’ll increase that to 10, we’ll be threadbare next game and then get a win and draw from the last 2 of the 5.
Gilchrist. The only specialist CB who is available. We've got a good break as we are going Friday to a week on Sunday so that will allow a decent rest for those carrying niggles.
Question is who plays centre back with Robbo, Gilchrist or RND?
Big test for him and it leaves us a little lightweight in the middle. Be interesting to see if Wilder trusts Seriki for a full game away at one of the better teams.Gilchrist. The only specialist CB who is available.
WBA don’t score goals. They are averaging very slightly over 1 per game. They don’t carry an attacking threat.Big test for him and it leaves us a little lightweight in the middle. Be interesting to see if Wilder trusts Seriki for a full game away at one of the better teams.
I think Seriki is better than Gilchrist all round but I'm not sure Wilder does. I think u r right we will go with Burrows, Robbo, Gulchrist, Seriki with RND on the bench. However it wouldn't be a massive surprise to see Wilder pull a rabbit out of the hat and either go 3 centre backs (which i hate) with Gilchrist Robbo RND and Vurrows and Seriki as wing backs or to bring Shakleton in as right back with Seriki an option offf the benchWBA don’t score goals. But they are also tight defensively, hence the number of goalless draws. I think we need to worry more about breaking them down than conceding. So playing Seriki is a no brainer for me.
It's not about positivity. It’s so interesting to see that, as a fanbase, we are SO negative about our prospects. Look at the predictions going back to when the thread started. It’s doom and gloom.
We are poles apart from the pigs fans, they are an abysmal side yet their fans constantly predict that they’ll win every game almost- the view from Sunderland also oozed confidence.
Why are our lot the opposite?
(Maybe im overly positive but I was vocal on here that I expect top 2 and to be in the top 6 all season long)
Silver lining I guess is that back four can now spend a full week training together, knowing they're startingSeriki-Gilchrist-Robbo-Burrows
Probably the best back 4 we can put out against WBA, Maja and Grant will be a challenge but their goals have dried up a bit in recent games.
Hope you stop being correct here pal haha8 points is my guess
Coventry (A) draw
Oxford U (H) win
Sunderland (H) win
WBA (A) loss
Millwall (A) draw
To use a hand whisk for mixing the Yorkshire pudsIt certainly will be an indicator of our potention going into Xmas.
I am major league happy going into this international break with the state of the club as it is and all the hard work everyone has put in.
As far as the state of the takeover, I realized that the key investors are mainly from Cleveland, OH, which is only an hour or so away from where I live in SW Ohio, so I sent an email to Steve Rosen letting him know that a SUFC fan and ex-academy guy lives only an hour or so south of him. They are definately financially sound investors.
Maybe he will invite me to dinner and for advice one weekend!!!!
What should I tell him if he invites me to dinner?

If we set for a short pass but then kick it long from it, it does prevent the other team setting for a long kick. It give a slight %age chance improvement for the attacking team to get possession from the long ballDraw at worst in next two, just hope we ditch the farting around stuff at goal kicks, serves no purpose other than putting ourselves under pressure
God I hope not we've been there and it didn't work !He might be tempted to go back to 3-5-2
Think it could actually work against west brom
Midfield of souza and hamer front two of Campbell and rak sakyi in front of cooper
Burrows seriki RND gilchrist and Robbo
CB & striker if limit is twoGod I hope not we've been there and it didn't work !
But it shows another "quality" centre half is needed in January, I've nothing against Robbo or rnd but we need to cover off the second half of the season so we stay in the position we're in
If davies stays fit we've 4 good options for the middle 2 ! ( I've been looking but what's the prognosis for blaster ?)
Other on the wishlist is another attacking midfielder
( I've been looking but what's the prognosis for blaster ?)
Coventry (A) 1
Oxford U (H) 3
Sunderland (H) 3
WBA (A) 1
Millwall (A) ?
