I won't boo. I will however be disappointed if we fail turn up ready to beat the opposition. We've been doing this for the best part of three months now ... ever since what now seems to be against a freakishly underperforming Bristol City side at Ashton Gate.

I don't think it will last three games. I expect it to be all over by game one, bar the expected 'miracles might happen' crap.

Good luck in singing your heart out if the recent misfiring efforts is all they have to offer. I'll be watching from the comfort of my home.

pommpey

Good. We can manage without you.

I thought the crowd was quite good considering how crap we were yesterday. I don't moan at games or shout abuse, however allow me to come on here and vent my anger at how pathetic we are. So when we do not go up this season, please do not come on here and support Clough or anything he has achieved this season. Please let nobody mention a fucking semi final, because that's past and what will be in our future is another season in this division.

We did really well to get to the semi-finals. The single-cells really ought to stop telling people what to do. We have to put up with their nonsense, now they want to control our responses. They really don't like being challenged, do they?

Why do you insist on calling people single cells? Really does just water down whatever you say.

I'm afraid the single-cells nominate themselves. They need no assistance from me.

They have two essential qualities:

1. They talk unmitigated bollocks.
2. They behave like spoiled brats when sane people point out number 1.

I've said it before and I'll say it again no fans go to the game to moan. If the players go for it and it can be seen by the fans then they will have the backing. Simple as that.
I think there are quite a few fans, even those who travel miles for away games, who go to moan and heckle. Probably taking out the frustration from the rest of their sad lives

I'll be there next season whichever league we're in. I'm not really "there" for the play offs for some reason, probably too much pain to reflect back on. The Huddersfield final had such a predictability about it that when our keeper missed his pen I just thought "same shit different day", turned immediately away from the pitch and I was down the stairs within seconds. The resigned disappointed looks on the faces of fans as we trudged up Wembley way is something I don't want to see again.

I can't pick myself up for the play offs.

Still, you've got to buy a ticket to have any chance of winning, so good luck to the Blades and fans who are second to none anywhere.

The team/club owes us something after our support this season. not holding my breath

A couple of relelvant quotes:

'Attack the post, not the poster'. We don't want this (great) forum degenerating into something like Sheffield Forum. And...

'If you build it, they will come.' Once again, we - the fans - built it yesterday by providing an incredible attendance for a basically meaningless game. When will the players come - and give us what we crave. All of us, however we choose to put it.

The players don't owe anything to anyone who 'can't pick themselves up' - Pathetic, I'm afraid.

Fans who are "second to none" would manage to "pick themselves up" wouldn't they? Some of ours are amongst the worst in the land.

definitely agree with the sentiments of the OP.

i'm not a fan of Clough and think he's made a right pigs ear of this season but PLEASE can we all just put our feelings aside for the next couple of weeks and get 100% behind the players and manager? yes if Clough had done his job properly in the first place we wouldn't be in this position but the reality is we are where we are and at this moment in time supporting the team is a hell of a lot more important than getting on their backs.

we can ask questions and do the post mortem if/when we don't go up but for the time being just get behind the club and do your best to make The Lane a cauldron of noise on Thursday night.

I'm sorry but generally the fans support the club and always have. We have good fans who pay good money. If people see them being served up rubbish do they not have the right to complain? You can argue over many things but anyone who supports the team has every right to criticise as they see fit.

You don't have to agree with them but they have as much right to their opinion as you do yours.

Over 26,000 picked themselves up again yesterday, in spite of a season of utter rubbish Pinchy.

Your ongoing focus / blame on the fans is wholly misplaced fella.

Another clap or fuck off to the sty thread ..................... how original. I wonder why the happy clappers all think that anyone with a different view to themselves sit at the lane booing for 90 minutes. My train of thought is maybe the most critical are also the most passionate fans who want the best for the club, you know the type that will not accept or settle for second best. If the team play shit they should be made aware that it is not acceptable, just being there to make up the numbers might be good enough for some fans but for others it is not good enough and sitting there clapping every gallant failure will not change a thing down at the lane. A growing number of fans want to see some winners in the red and white stripes rather than a manager and team that worry about what the likes of Yeovil ,Crawley and Fleetwood might do to us.

Agreed

How some can come on here and dictate to others how they should and shouldn't conduct themselves is bollox imho

And no, I don't boo at matches. Never have, never will and if that day ever comes I'll stop going

I encourage them at matches and that's despite the managers mundane approach to games, failure to address the cb situation all season after sacking two of them, his inability to sort the cf position until February and his his unmistaken talent that after 46 league games of post match interviews, he's managed to lay the blame at the feet of everyone else except himself, for what can only be described as some of the most abject performances, particularly at home, despite probably being allowed to amass the largest squad in the division and having probably been given the largest budget

However, on Thursday and as usual, I'll be right behind them

Yes and No.

Frustrating as it is, there are some things we can't have an informed opinion about.
True, but everyone has there own measure of success, and entertainment. They can judge Clough ( either way) against that.

Clough believes he's made the right decisions
He considers this season a success.
That what's worrying

well last season we missed the play offs , this season we are in them ,
I dont get why its so hard to accept its a success
we are as much in it as preston who had 45 games of being in the auto chase, now thats disappointing
weve been in 5th for 3 months so been consistent
now we start at exactly the same point

what we did in 2003 or 2009 or 2013 means absolutely fuck all

see it like pulling a girl in a club
you get excited think your in but get blown out , once twice three times up to 7 times

do you give up and say fuck it Ill never win, whats the point
no you smile and give it a real go , you dont chat her up by telling her about getting blown out before, so why do it in here

Fuck off mate

UTB

Nice to see that the need for a coherent and well considered response is still alive and active.

Never let it be said that we, as fellow Blades, never allow others to tear away at our inner fabric when we're so much better at doing it ourselves. Who needs an outside 'enemy' to cause dissent when we're so ably(?!?) equipped to disembowel ourselves?

Agree, said that all along, the past is just what it is the past, regarding the girl well I'd expect to go all the way.:p

Unfortunately mate long in the head is exactly the type of tool I was talking about
