Playing a high line when we are winning

Agreed,
But Norwood won the the ball well at the weekend and was poor today.
CH is defensively poor and was in for Fleck.

Jebbo and Ndiaye are our best bet if we want to press high, but we need a midfield that can't get stretched as easy as ours do.

Our shape seems to be very quickly made to look like 3 at the back up against 2, 3 or 4 forwards if teams knock it over the top, or move the ball very quickly through the middle, or break at speed. Coventry did all 3 at times.

Tactically very naive at times....not just today

I thought it was more down to several players being absolute fucking dog shit as much as the tactics and yes, we even fucked them up.

Playing a high line when they have any pace in the attack has cost us numerous times. Let’s be honest, we shouldn’t have been winning today, we were crap from the off.

Another thing is it is different when you are away vs when you are at home.

It is better s the away side to nick a goal, make it scrappy and quieten the crowd.

We had potential to drop back to almost a 5-4-1. I know there is always the worry about inviting pressure, but if we'd dropped 10 years back and have 4 in midfield it would have made it very congested and hard to create openings. You can't keep clipping the ball over the top of you are deeper.

We need to be able to adapt better in games.
