Players must read forums, right?

Yeah during infamous derby season with only 1 win & 11pts. He felt quite at fault being captain. He would go on derby forums like this & say stuff like 'you know how stood out for me Robbie savage, he played really well today'

So to dean hammond find the only person to praise him
If there was a separate section for players/ex, to post on here, then some of them would be getting infractions from foxy/Linz for posting in the wrong section.

I'm Trenton Wiggan but no one will remember him! ;). Don't know why I even bothered with the wink its not as if anyone believed me!

I'd love to know who reads the site from the current team! As for the past I really hope Neil Warnock goes on here and knows how I feel about him flirting with the Pigs job! Not that he'd care I know!

How do you know there isn't already? ;)

In answer to the OP, they do, and amongst the member base are current and previous players and family members.

I'm sure older readers will remember the tantrum that Steve Faulkner's daughter had when it was suggested her old man wasn't a very good player!

The funny thing is if Danny_Blade is indeed Danny Webber, no one would believe him anyway!

I remember Trenton Wiggan.

Thanks for reminding me that I'm old, although my knee has been doing that role admirably all day!

I know a potential manager and his back room staff read comments on here that weren't lets say, very complementary and went part way to him not coming, plus compo to his club :-o of course

He's slightly before my time but seems heroic! I was brought up on the Bassett 1989/90 team! That's still my favourite Blades team!

I would say the Bassett team were greater than the sum of their parts. they achieved something that even Warnock couldn't manage, survival in the top league. for a while anyway!

Hopefully we are heading for a Wilder Era as opposed to a just passong through, the early signs are very good :)

He was shit ,even for St Pauls ,very fast but crap with the ball. He once scored twice in a game (Huddersfield I think) at the Kop end and I was amazed , everyone thought we had a new hero ,I knew better and was right.

He looks awful from the video clips but they can be misleading! Or maybe not!

That relative of Anthony Stokes was good value. :)

Don't ever mention the hair of a certain centre half from the 70s.

And Dougie H was on here until some tossers went hammer and tongues at him.

If I was a player then I would 100% post on here. And that tracking the plane to Vegas thread would have had me a little worried tbh

Since Steve Conroy was my favourite keeper from my youth and nobody else liked him I was of course accused of being him. I'm sure Steve barely gives United a thought but I remember games when his shot stopping kept us in games.

If I was a player, I'd defiantly want to know what the fans were saying about me

I hope i dont offend any of players I remember when Keith Edwards had ago at Jamie Murphy on the air & then next match it came up that Murphy heard & had heated words with keith during the week

I remember Steve Conroy being a capable keeper. Was a young lad who was a decent shot stopper but was very suspect coming for the catches. He wasn't bad, but he certainly was no Kelly or Tracey.

Unfortunately, he is probably tainted by being in the team the day we went down to division 4 under the arrogant clown that was Martin Peters (the first time that the Wet Shammers cheated us by sending the useless tosser to us). Remember the penalty against us scored by Don Penn at the Bramall Lane end and Conroy seemed to get a hand to it but just couldnt keep it out....he was so close to being a hero that day.

Don't know if he gives a toss about Utd these days or whether he ever watches us, but I do know his daughter used to watch us in the early 90s.

Hope he's well and happy wherever he is. Once a blade...
