Players leaving

Bristol were very good, much to strong, fit and fast for us. They left us for dead so many times.
They were more up for it. Don't forget this is a team we comfortably beat 6 nil, 12 weeks ago.
They've improved their squad since then and we've gone massively backwards. Owners and recruitment team need to step up now and get in at least 4 decent new signings.

On a number of occasions they defended their box and 10 seconds later, they had a three-on-two against us in our box!, pace that we didn't have at all.

Robinson, Hamer, Peck - all looked like players not on it.

We haven't got much time left to complete an apparent rebuild. Huge 3 weeks coming up.

First half we were pretty dominant but conceded a silly foul start of half which was a well taken free kick. And defensively fell apart for the 2nd.

Aside from that we were well on top 1st half and really should have scored at least 3. Some lucky/decent last stop defending from them too.

2nd half couldn't have started worse. RND managing to give the ball straight to them twice in jeopardy positions was incredible. Feel for him but he doesn't look up to this level in that position. Those injuries a few years back did him.

Im concerned what that result does for a few players frame of mind.
Does it make Hamer, Cooper or Campbell think. "Do I want to stick around if we aren't going to push for promotion?"

Obv that is very early to call. But if we aren't doing well towards end of August they may fancy a switch.

It was always a gamble changing manager. Time will tell if this was wise.

We might as well sell any sort of asset we have apart from Oné. To fund 'The Project'

I think we are watching the game differently

Yes obviously if every chance Bristol had went in and we continued to miss ours it would have been about 7-1 .

I’ll simply leave this at

We had more than 70% possession and
We created the same number of big chances
We scored 1 goal off 2.3 xG
Bristol scored 4 of 1.3
We had 14 corners they had 3View attachment 218807
It doesn’t tell all the story though, they were 4-1 up for most of the 2nd half and let us have the ball then just picked us off.

I know the stats were similar at half time and the simple fact is that they made 26% of the ball count for 4 goals and we made 74% count for 1. Piss poor really. Apart from the Barry curling effort and maybe the save from Peck their keeper didn’t really have to do that much.

You look at how they defended at 4-1 and there were blocks and bodies all over, we just didn’t do that on any of their goals or chances.

Peck rumoured on here weeks ago he wants out?

Then there’s Hamer who it appears has changed his mind from being happy to same as Peck?

And today’s article suggesting JLT wants
away?

Coincidence or off days?

Time will tell
