JOC, as he is in no way to blame for this season's shambles!

On a serious note though.....Rambo.

thinking earlier player of the year this season. am i wrong in thinking its a 1 horse race. as i cant think of anyone more integral to our that Wes Foderingham. week in week out pulling off vital saves mustve won us 9pts on his own just in last 4 weeks

MGW for me. Despite the odd quiet game he has been brilliant on numerous occasions. Wes has done well too and I’d put him in 2nd.

Agree with Deano.

MGW is top of the pile and unless he has a dramatic decline in form from here on, it's his to lose. The lad has lit up the place more than any player in recent years and I am already sad at the thought of him going back to Wolves.

Wes and Sharp are tied for 2nd imo.

The ever reliable Sir Christopher of Basham leads the chasing pack, ahead of the late bloomers Robinson and Berge.

Shame about Bogle, because he was fully in the mix for top spot at one point.

There’s a few players this award could go to. With potentially 11 games to go there’s still a big chunk of the season left.
The one constant shining light so far though has been MGW. Fantastic player! His enthusiasm and style of play has rallied the team. Full credit to Hecky too for giving him the opportunity to play how he wants to.

had a think about this one, and as other posters have said, it's definitely between MGW, Sharp and Wes.

But when you ask yourself who is the best player? Who would we struggle to replace the most? and who has won us the most points?

The answer is MGW, although Billy is close for the last two, Wes has been brilliant and won us a ton of points but i think Davies could deputise and do well enough.

I'd go with MGW, shame he won't be here next season but hopefully we can find a good bargain whether that's in the Prem or Championship to replace him.

Sharp. I thought he might be past it, but he has proven me wrong. To be still so reliant on him at 36 is a credit to his professionalism.

We'd have struggled without MGW (lack of cutting edge), Sharp (nobody that puts the ball in the net) and Wes (some big and point earning saves).

There's still a fair bit of the season to play but at the moment I have them in that order. Nobody else comes even close.

Take out any of MGW, Wes or Billy and we would be knowhere near the play offs. Others have had good spells, but the gap between those three and the rest is significant. I am really starting to lean on Wes, our defence has been the motor of our recovery and his saves have influenced so many games.

I thought that was down to McBurnie

It's MGW and it's not close

MGW and Billy brilliant though they have been, regularly carry yellow card fetishes and static movement as well as big reputations.

League 1, an SPL reserve, has done far more than anyone expected. Had he been the number 1 in the PL, he would have saved a lot of the Rammers dismissing the challenge of Sweden's number 1?, Saving 2 consecutive penalties and the Barnsley worldy, he gets it for me.

Wes for me, as good as MGW is there has been a lack of consistency. Still think we need to borrow/beg/rob to try and buy him.

alot of have said MGW & he has been fantastic but i was thinking that whereas MGW can be outstanding he can also have a day off, but wes has been huge every week, even when we were losing 4-1 to Coventry, he was man of the match.

Recon Wes Foderingham, developed into a reliable player way beyond his expected ability and now sound as a pound.
He could developed into a Blades legend, only time will tell.
