Not uncommon for Chris to bring in players who were Player of the Year for their clubs, so here's the run down:

2. Norwich - Teemu Pukki
3. Leeds - Pablo Hernandez
4. WBA - Marcus Gayle
5. Aston Villa - John McGinn
6. Derby - Fikayo Tomori
7. Middlesborough - Darren Randolph
8. Bristol City - Adam Webster
9. Swansea City - Matt Grimes
10. Sheffield Wednesday - Michael Hector
11. Nottingham Forest - Joe Lolley
12. Brentford - Neil Maupay
13. Preston - Ben Davies
14. Hull City - Jared Bowen
15. Blackburn Rovers - Danny Graham
16. Stoke City - Jack Butland
17. Birmingham City - Che Adams
18. Wigan - Reece James
19. QPR - Luke Freeman
20. Reading - Andy Rinomhota
21. Millwall - Lee Gregory
22. Rotherham - Michael Smith
23. Bolton - Gary O'Neill
24. Ipswich - Luke Chambers

Anyone stand out for you?

Most of them stand out, if I was to pick someone who's a likely signing though, I'd go for Lolley or James.

Tomori must have played well to get in above Wilson and mount ,looks a prospect to be fair but a bit error prone against us

Hernandez would be the best Duffy like player we could hope for on a perm basis.

Adams
Lolley
Maupay
Bowen
Grimes
James

Wouldn’t surprise me to see us go for Adams depending on price. Wilder doesn’t hold grudges

If Henderson goes back then I'd want Randolph.

Lolley is a realistic signing. Reece James would be sensational but I think he'll either be at Chelsea or a more established Champ team. I'd prefer Eze to Freeman but he'd be a good buy at £4m ish.

Maupay, McGinn, Bowen and Adams would be great but out of our price range I fear

Cheers for this. I like reading these lists as there are always surprises.

Tomori, Grimes, Davies, Graham and Rinomhota are interesting ones. And Cooper not winning Millwall's is maybe a surprise.

James and Freeman stand out as the ones to sign. Others may be too costly.

Hernandez is even older than Duffy. Outstanding player no doubt but I’d really hope we commit to signing younger players like those on your list, even allowing for the increased cost.

On my list of serious 'wants' from that list would be John McGinn, Joe Lolley, Neil Maupay, Jared Bowen, Che Adams, Reece James and Luke Freeman.

We obviously can't get all of them though. A best case scenario is probably Maupay (£10-15m), Freeman (£7m) and Reece James (loan).

He's had a good season but I reckon there was a touch of sentiment to Gregory winning Millwall's award. They love him down there and will miss him when he goes (most likely to Stoke it sounds like).

Actually. on a related note... Lee Gregory and Sheffield United. Like two ships passing in the night.

I think Ramsdale won it at AFC Wimbledon. Saw something the other day and he appeared to be blindo leading the singing.

It’s clearly a Blades thing.

Interesting ones from League One:

Ben Whiteman won both Doncaster's players and fans awards.

Ethan Pinnock won Barnsley's for the second consecutive season.

Lyle Taylor won Charlton's.

Matt Clarke won countless awards for Portsmouth but Tom Naylor got players' player.

Jack Stacey won Luton's. This is an interesting one because he's a 23 year old right back converted from a winger with one year left on his contract.

i'd rather have the lad from Cardiff. seriously though, any of those players would do well in the Prem. they're obviously too good for the Champ.

The idea of looking at POTY's at other clubs is a great idea, and on balance I think the younger element of the L1 list is where we'll be looking.

Don’t even know what to believe about these links with Villa anymore.

Genuinely seems like every player is linked with them.

According to BritishSteel the latest one they are after is Yuki, a Japanese international. Great work rate, looks after the ball well, doesn't shirk the physical stuff and is relatively cheap. ;)

We should be seriously trying for Freeman, Adams and Bowen. Get thise three and we would be a decent side and dangerous.

I've already mentioned Webster on another thread at CB. He is quality, with a capital Q and will be a prem defender in the not too distant future. His personal skill set is our required skill set, he's used to playing in a back 3 and can use either foot.

Adams is an athletic beast of a goalscorer whom CW could convert into a Prem striker - wait any longer and he'll be miles outside our price range - act now or live to see him storm ahead with a top ten Prem side.

A negative for this signing is that he will get sent off in a few matches for violent conduct and therefore won`t start every match due to bans for disciplinary issues. On the positive side he should be able to play roughly 12-15 matches a season which would all be won 25-0.

Just hope the rest of the team can pick up a few points in the other 20 odd games.
