Over halfway through, some players have played a massive part and I think we can have a poll (we do love a poll).

So, I expect this to split opinion, and that's testament to how well we've done. I personally think Sharp, Fleck and Duffy will be the standouts but we've been that good that quite easily Coutts, JO'C, EEL, Freeman, Moore and a few others could get a few votes and maybe even win it.

I've only picked players who've started more than 10 games, I don't think anyone who's featured in less than that can even be considered.

I genuinely couldn't call it so I'd be interested to know what the general consensus is.

Chris Hussey for me.
I didn't want to put him in, it'd be unfair on the rest of them to see him running away with all the votes.
Same goes for George Long and James Wilson.

It's going to be the most varied vote in a long time. I couldn't call who's going to get the proper award if we stay on in the same vein until the end of the season. Billy probably cos of his goals but there are so many variables it's great.

Jack O'Connell for me. Very much the unsung hero.

Excellent in the air, strong in the tackle, is strong, athletic and pacy, and can play some great football.

One of the best signings we have made in years, and someone destined for the very top.

Freeman for me:

Scored 6
Assisted in goal - too many to count
Involved in goal - again, too many to count

His final ball is exceptional - always has a look, the ball is delivered where it is intended.

Very clever footballer

Before saturday I said he was the best right back/right wing back in the league. Now I think it's unfair.
He's the best full back/wing back in the league.

He will be very comfortable in the championship if we get there in the end.

I have to own up to saying he was a poor defender in a 4, never saw him as a RM as some suggested, but really wanted to see him as a WB.

CW and AK need to get his defending better - the Southend 2nd goal to name a recent one. Solve this and we should have a very good footballer on our hands, and just the sort of player that we need to get promoted with and hopefully keep hold of him and make him even better.

His defending is already a mile better than it was before still plenty of room for improvement though

McDuff shades it for me. Productive with goals and assists, and a constant influence even when not at his best. Take him out and we are a very different team. He plays a key position and is the only one who can do what he does.

Went for Duffy, doesn't always come off for him but always looks to be positive and never goes missing.

Makes a change debating who's our best player as well, instead of who can't we wait to get rid of...

Was torn between Coutts, Duffy, Fleck, Billy, EEL, Freeman, Moore, O'Connell, Wright.

Went for Freeman.

duffy, his creativity is one of the reasons we are doing so well

Did anyone expect Wrighty to perform like he has so far ?, he gets my vote, even though there are other obvious and well deserved candidates.

Not played quite enough to get my vote, which is a shame because I still think he's arguably our best defender. Really like the guy, a real leader on the pitch, and am I right in saying he's still never lost in a Blades shirt?
