I've found Trevor

I've never been but I get the feeling Norwich is a very different place to Sheffield with a very different outlook to life.

Isn't Norwich just a shithole in the arse end of nowhere? Did they change the name to Royal Norwichton and install Jennie Bond as some kind of idol/mayor with weekly table manners and "How to be joyless" lessons.

I thought it was just a giant Poundland with chavs floating around it.

First reply that comes up is from Jack Grealish.

Edging for a move perhaps? Get fucked you greasy tart.

I don’t know about the demographic of your board. What I do know is that all responses to my post have been anti it or abusive. That drunken behavior by the players in public is condoned encourages /engenders a similar culture on here and, by extension throughout the club. There will be plenty of people who agree with me but the macho culture out there discourages them from giving their opinion through fear of abuse. That’s not my definition of inclusivity. Shame really given the great season you’ve had that they couldn’t wait a week and let off steam out of the public eye. BTW it would be great if both teams could stay up next year it rarely happens though.
I fucking don't I hope you get Huddersfielded ,in fact I hope you get Boltoned you yellow shades of shit.

I wondered what he said at the beginning? I couldn't understand what he was saying and ironically he got easier to comprehend when he was singing!:D

Egan's intro:
"If you go to the pub in Ireland you have to have a song and if you don't have a song, you might as well not go to the pub at all.
So in January, I said to my better half, I said, I have got a song and I said we are going to the Premier League and when we get to the Premier League I'm going to sing this song.
It goes to the tune of a Liverpool song, and we've got a few Scousers here ...Duffy get up here, Mark Duffy MVP; Gaffer you'd better come to the front I'm going to mention your name"

Works best if you read it with a John Egan "from Cark" accent.

I don’t get the adulation for employees getting hammered in public. They are on duty at a club end of year award and to turn up for it incapable through drink would in any other walk of life lead to disciplinary action. Firstly winning the championship, as opposed to being runners up, has a healthy financial premium. Being in that state , when not regular drinkers, is not going to help that. Secondly you have a Saudi prince part owner to whom that sort of behavior is massively disrespectful. Thirdly the club wants to be viewed as inclusive to all. To default to getting shitfaced to celebrate success flies in the face of inclusivity for women , kids, various religions and anyone who can enjoy something without getting hammered. It gives succour to, and reinforces, the sort of macho boorish behavior seen around grounds on a match day and is a really poor example. Now before anyone tells me to jog on i’ve Got no problem with them getting drunk but it should have been at the end of the season and out of the public eye. Rather than a PR success I see it as something they might regret in the cold light of day
How on earth can a Norwich fan come on here and ridicule our managers behaviour when their chairperson/catering manager (whatever she is) ridiculed her own fans including women and children in a half time drunken rant (for being rubbish supporters) that went viral and even made news headlines it was so cringeworthy.

What a truly dreadful & mean spirited post. I've lurked on here for years enjoying the banter (& the many ups & downs - mainly downs actually) but this is the 1st time I’ve ever felt compelled to respond directly to a post. If it was your intention to bait people, well it has certainly worked with me.

What we've all witnessed over the last few days in Sheffield (well, at least half of it) is an outpouring of joy & celebration in response to an incredible achievement by a young group of sportsmen led by an inspirational boss. Together, they have well & truly broken the mould & finally given Blades fans a club to be proud of. Are you really begrudging us of that? Every time I read the posts, tweets & watch the vids (e.g. Egan's song), I can barely wipe the grin off my face (& trust me - I’m a miserable git most of the time). In addition, why should they have to specifically respect a Saudi owner? The last time I looked, Sheffield was not subject to Arabic laws as regards alcohol consumption & Bramall Lane is not a dry ground. How sanctimonious of you. How did you celebrate Norwich's promotion? With a nice herbal tea perhaps?

Not satisfied with that, in a later post, you then have the temerity to go on to make spiteful & classist comments about the demographic on here:

“Next you’ll be telling me the entertainment was Bernard Manning and Jim Davidson followed by strippers, scampi in a basket served with blue nun was enjoyed by all and everyone drove home. Oh and btw best remove the asbestos from the ceiling apparently it might pose a health risk.”

I call you out for the hypocrite that you are, as one the one hand you blather on about inclusivity, but then throw in a nasty curved ball about social class. All while hiding behind a half baked neo liberal left identitarian lexicon.

Do you know what? fu cking do one mate. Go & celebrate your own promotion with Delia & your 6 fingered sisters in your own way. I'd wish you luck for the forthcoming season..... but i don't think I will.

Take a like, just for using the word 'temerity' I like it.

People like you don't get.

In our L1 days, we beat p'boro away 1 nil with a goal very near the end - think it was April and we were going up anyway, regardless of this win. Our fans went bonkers. A P'boro fan commented on our bonkers-ness "You'd have thought they'd just won the FA cup" - he didn't get it either.

We get it and we're quite happy with it.

Now fuck off back to your own forum and enjoy your own celebrations.

A genuine good luck for next season by the way - but still fuck off now.

UTB
Ditto for Fulwood, bonkers-ness, I like it

Owd Trev is going to implode when he sees the party we have once we beat Stoke and Villa beat Norwich...

Does this mean we’ve got to bounce now?
There’s a rumour going around that at the civic reception, there will be a bouncy castle, in the shape of a city bus shelter.
Just in case any one fancies jumping up and down.
I know because I started it.

I couldn't give a toss what they think of how we celebrate. The reason being, I don't expect them to understand. They haven't got what we've got - a Blade in charge, with a Blade as Captain. Their promotion has been purely business, and civil, ours has been packed with sentiment and memories that will last the club a lifetime.

Only fans I've seen not loving our celebrations are Norwich fans. Think they're a bit jealous to be honest at the attention we've got.

They could go up as champions this weekend, but under very muted acclaim, and with little media attention, no scratch that, media interest. Because they are boring, dull, nice, nothing to write home about. We have a passionate bunch, attacking football, local ties and loads of character on and off the pitch. We could get all the attention even if we finish 2nd, and they hate that.

Steve Coogan based Alan Partridge in Naaarwich for a reason. Elliot Cleveland is welcome in the big city anytime.
