Sharpe, Clark and Brookes have been serial offenders. We've now got Boldock and I remember a Couttes and McGuire.

Going back through the years who else have we had?

I imagine Dean but he predates the forum.

I can live with first names but not surnames e.g. Martyn/Martin or Kieran/Kieron

Moor, Stephens, Evens, Friedman, Lundstrum, Lundstrom, Lunstram etc

Its not just players names spelt incorrectly that gets on my tits, but the horrendous grammar used by certain folk. I suppose that it doesn't really matter as there are obviously different levels of education and intellect across the broad spectrum of people using the site..... however certain basics really wind me up. I'm positive this has been well covered before though.

Winds me up as well mate. I mean, how dense must you have to be to not put a simple comma after using the word 'however' eh?;)

Sun Jihai. Surname Sun. NOT Jihai. Not just people here, commentators etc as well, refused to give the man (and other Chinese players) the simple respect to get it right.

Not sure you're entire right with the naming of the eastern community.

Koreans for example have about 3 or 4 different surnames - Park, Kim, Lee etc.

That's why they use their given names e.g Park Ji-Sung, his surname is Park so in England on his Man Utd shirt they put J.S. Park. Because of the naming traditions and lack of surnames when they play internationally he has his given name, "Ji Sun" on the shirt to differentiate between the other Parks in the squad.

Sun Jihai has worn "Sun" for City and "Sun Jihai" but for United he wore "Jihai"
