5. Vas Borbokis to Derby for Rob Kozluk and Jonathan Hunt and ₤500,000 (March 1999)

...

Verdict: Win for United, as Kozluk turned out to be the only decent signing of the three

I take exception to anything that describes any deal that involves us shackled with Jonathan "shit bastard" Hunt as a win...

A fair point.

If what I read was accurate, Hunt had 2 years left on his contract when we paid him off. I can't believe this is true, but he was that bad...

I imagine when we payed him off he'll have taken far too long to get the money under control, by which time a passing child will have releived him of it.

On the off chance he did get it under control, he probably gave it away pretty quickly...

Hunt was one of the rare players who could take corners with either foot

I think we paid £500k for Webber. Don't think Cullip was part of the deal. He only went on loan to Watford before signing for Forest permanently. That said, there might have been a loan swap before we signed Webber permanently.

I thought Cullip fell out with Warnock after we lost to Brighton and they both had a strop with each other. I remember basically seeing it happen between them on the pitch.

I was told at the time that they'd actually had a fight. Whatever the reason, Cullip wasn't around long.

I attended an evening with Chris Morgan, Rob Kozluk and Michael Brown a while back and when asked what happened with Cullip Morgan responded. "He went for Tongey in training and after Brownie had gone, Tongie was Neil's favourite so that was him finished".

Or words very similar.
