All these damn injuries aren’t giving us much room for rotation. But my word heckys subs aren’t helping either.Berge was absolutely out on his feet and somehow still nearly won us a pen in stoppage time.

Not the best at the minute is it?

Berge has been absolutely ran into the ground, he’s obviously fucked. Doyle taken off, again, when he’s been our best player.

Ndiaye looks much the same.

Bogle had to be took off because he was injured, because god forbid we try a back 4. Rather play a lad who’s not played for 8 months for as long as he can.

Same core of players every single week, even in the positions where we’ve got decent replacements. With this tightly packed of a schedule, it really is poor. The injuries are starting to make sense.
Bogle had cramp baldock shouldn’t have been allowed to come out second half

Games like these are great if you want to have a go at your least favourite player. :)

But the signs are that teams are getting some success coming to the Lane to frustrate us. They don't all try the same, but they mix their own stuff with neutralising our strengths and preventing us space to play in.

We do well if we score early.

  • Millwall 7 minutes
  • Sunderland 33 minutes (struggled before the sending off)
  • Blackburn 31 minutes
  • Reading 11 minutes

These first half goals saw us go on to score more. Several of our flair players look great when they get a bit of space.

When it's kept tight it is difficult and we haven't shown an ability to grind teams down. We need to look for ways to create space for our flair players. We can't kid ourselves thinking we're fabulous and have the quality to carve through teams if only we remain "patient".

All good points.

I’ll do what I want fella. Also, reported for personal abuse.
Imagine being the muppet (no it's not personal abuse, I love The Muppet Show, when i feel ready to call someone a complete and utter cnut, I'll spell it correctly) on here constantly bleating "we need a back 4" when clearly there's so much more to the game than formation of the defence.

Please, do explain

I thought first half we moved the ball quickly and looked dangerous, creating a number of scoring opportunities. Second half we looked tired out and so the overlapping thrusts petered out and allowed qpr to push up and press our midfield resulting in Norwood and Berge both sitting deep and resorting to ponderous square passes looking for a worldly ball to start an attack. I thought Khadra made a difference getting the ball into the bkg early but we then seemed to look for openings on the other wing which seemed weird. He had about ten minutes without anyone passing to him. Hey ho onto the weekend

I said this weeks ago and got roundly pooh-poohed, we aren't grinding teams down and pulling them apart, we're largely relying on wonder goals or defensive mistakes (ones we're causing, I'm not saying our lads deserve no credit). After they scored today we had loads of the ball but how much danger were QPR in, really?

Someone said our xG was only middling, I do worry that we might be an upper-mid table team that got off to a fast start

But he didn’t?
But is it not obvious that that's why he keeps him on the pitch? Because even when he's not at his best he is still capable of driving us forward and doing things that can change a game in a way that others simply aren't capable of

Yep some poor subs tonight.

These injury issues have caught up with us again.

Right I am going to get some right pelters for this ,heckys done a fantastic job taking us on from slav but is he the man to push up to the next stage , there has got to be a reason under his tenure that we are getting so many injuries it's not just shirecliffe sniper there's got to be something in his teams training methods
For God's sake we used to play every Saturday and Sunday pissed as farts and not get half the injuries this lot get, and please Don't tell me we weren't as committed to get the win

They were good QPR, you’ve got to give them their dues, but we didn’t even test them.

They did what they had to do, game management i think is the buzzword.

Won ugly but won. Time-wasting from very early, and I wish i could find a lass who goes down as easy as their players did, I'd be laughing.

As home side, our job to unlock that, and we didn't. A pretty easy night for QPR. ..

I'm still thinking yes he is.

But the amount of injuries, and management of those injuries, is a concern.

Steve Cooper will be available soon - and he played 3 at the back last season...
