Unfortunately, I left Firth Park School with a E and therefore not very good at it. So come on then, what needs to happen to seal our play offs spot tommrw?

If we win and Rochdale fail to win, we have done it.

Is "Play-Offs" on the syllabus now?? No wonder they've all got 26 GCSE's etc etc harder in my day......

Fleety Jnr got one for 'Leisure & Tourism' a few years ago, part of which involved a day trip to Old Trafford which equated to a certain %age of the pass mark

Quite simple really - win the next 6 games. :)

Problem solved

We can all have a lovely summer............

.............and then start the blood letting again come............hmmmmm..........lets say............mid September? :(

Score one more pen on two occasions?

We could go up without winning another game. Just win a couple of penalty shoot outs and we're there.

Ive predicted all season we would linp into the play offs and finish in our usual heartbreaking style

Thought when we bought brayford and done things might change but the side seems to have no heart and i cant see us doing it
hope im wrong

Are there any odds around on us failing to make the play offs? Because if we don't win tomorrow and Rochdale do I could see it happening.

We're a hundred to one on to make the play-offs. We aren't going to fail to make the play-offs.

What odds would you LIKE on this bet?

We're 8 points in front of Rochdale in 7th. They have 4 games left. We have 3 games left. As pointed out elsewhere the only way we can be promoted tomorrow is if we win and they lose.

Even if we contrive to lose our last three games, they still have to drum up 8 points from 4 games. If they do, then they will almost certainly be ahead of us on goal difference. But when has anything like that ever happened...

Fleetwood are 9 points behind with 3 to play. But they are 16 worse off on goal difference. If they make up that ground then good luck to them.

No-one else can catch us, unless we manage to have points deducted.

I think all that's right.

At home. Can see more clearly now.

We're on 68 points (with 3 games left).
Rochdale are on 60 points with 4 games left. Maximum points 72.

If we win tomorrow we'll be on 71 points.

If Rochdale draw (away at Gillingham) then they will have be able to get a maximum of 70 points and we'll be in the play-offs. (Not promoted - but that's a near certainty once we're in the mix.)

If we draw tomorrow then no matter what Rochdale do they can still catch us.

I think crowd and players need to be positive. If we start looking around nervously at other results then the whole thing becomes potentially self-fulfilling. Just concentrate on your own game, and events you can influence.

That might be more accurate.

Cheers mate. Let's just hope for a win then tommorw

Preston go to Port Vale tonight. Not sure who I want to win this. A Preston win would go a long way to securing automatic promotion for them, which is good - I don't fancy meeting them in the Play Offs. However, I also don't want to see MK Dons and Swindon's seasons over until hopefully the last day of the season. We need 3rd and 4th to be tired and disappointed.

Incidentally, according to the BBC Port Vale were three points adrift of the play-offs when they won at Coventry in March but have now slumped to within three points of the drop zone. Could be worse, Blades.

So we could be playing our second leg on Sunday at 12.15pm? Great. For some reason I thought both second legs would be played at the same time (on the Monday) like the first legs.

I booked a flight over on the Saturday night, so I can go to the second leg on Monday. Looks like I'll miss it now if it.s 12.15pm Sunday. Anyone know which game is scheduled for the Sunday and which is for the Monday (ie 6th v 3rd or 4th v 5th?)

the way some of our fans go off youd think we were where Coventry are , thats the Coventry side that was in the top league from jimmy hill in 65 to 2001 a much better recent history than us, 36 years at the top
