Just watched the play of semi final 2nd leg at Swindon on sky great matches when we drew 5-5.

Can remember the utter gut wrenching I felt that night but it shows the fickleness of football as just 2 years later we are now 3rd in the Championship and they are 14th in league 2 !!
Who would have predicted that after that game ?

The gut wrenching for me occurred when Swindon scored their last minute winner at the Lane in the first leg, and so I didn't have high hopes anyway, especially after Brayford's injury.

After the first 15 minutes the emotion was just anger - mad with rage, you might say - as our hapless defence rolled out the welcome mat and Swindon strolled in. The comeback in a way pissed me off, because that meant loads of people who didn't really give a shit felt compelled to ask me about a game I had no interest in talking about.

Yeovil not pulled up many trees either after dumping us out...
Wonder what ever happened to Huddersfield?
shows how fickle football is
a lot of bladestake being in league one for 6 years as a disgrace but its just how it goes sometimes
you have to suffer the bad to really appreciate the good

You got a recording of it? It was such a bizarre game that I'd like to relive it, if only to see how shit we used to be.

our defending in the first 20 minutes of that game was probably the most suicidal Ive ever seen , yet we had chances to take the game to extra time

truly weird performance

Strangest game I've ever been to. On account of being a bit pissed, neither me nor any of the people around me could figure out how many we needed because no one was sure of the score and no one was sure about away goals.

Genuinely though at 5-5 when the board said 8 minutes or something crazy, it still looked like we might get 2.

Probably didn't help Clough's chances when he admitted in an interview he'd lost track of the score mind.

That Swindon winner was an awful moment, but at least we have recovered. A few minutes later came the exit poll for the 2015 election, and the country still hasn't recovered.

I'll never forget that day; up early to Vote and work after walking back to the car from the Lane feeling thoroughly disappointed. I then tuned in to Radio Sheffield to hear the exit poles; and thought 'shit, surely it can't be that bad?'. After an all nighter watching the always excellent BBC coverage, it turned out to be even worse. At least the Blades now have a fine Leader!

Worst performance by a ref that I've ever seen by the hopeless Darren Bond if I remember correctly.

Considering the other choice was Ed Miliband I'd say we got off lightly that night.

Great game and best play off semi sky and fans will ever see.

Awful game maybe on a par with Yeovil away. My dad left after about half an hour we were that bad.

Las few minutes glossed over a woeful defensive/team display. If we'd lost 8-0 it wouldn't have been unfair. Every time they went forward they looked like scoring.

Nights like that are what make last season & this season so amazing. We may not stay 3rd but fuck me 7 years seems like a lifetime away

I wonder how many of them they'll be following Brexit? Or were you thinking more traditional, like telegraph or wooden? :D
