In the last 8 games, we've taken 17.points out of a possible 24, an average of just over 2 a game.

Keep that up over the remaining 24 games and we'll end up on 76ish points, which should be comfortable for the play offs.

5 wins, 2 draws and one defeat is fantastic form and very difficult to maintain.
The fact that such form over the entire second half of the season would see us scrape 74 points, which might or might not be enough to sneak 6th place, shows just how unlikely it is that we could get into the playoffs.
It’s not impossible, but it would be an incredible run - without checking the stats almost certainly better than the second half of any of our auto-promotion seasons.

If we did go up they will need very deep pockets to put together a PL squad. I am not sure we have any at present who are good enough for a starting eleven.
