To be fair some of them are talking sense others talking shite, and the usual let’s stroke Wednesdays cock posters.

You either have a very short memory or you haven' been supporting Utd too long.

I remember Leicester cheating like twats to get promoted in 2nd place and paying silly money on players and wages, and building a new £30m plus stadium, despite not having a lot to piss in, then going into administration and getting a clean slate without paying a shit load of small businesses and creditors - many of whom may have gone out of business as they were reliant on that cash. Utd who.played by the rules and paid their way...couldnt afford the players Leicester had and finished one place behind and in 3rd. Even Warnock called em cheats and there was no points deduction for admin at that time.

They got away with it plain and simple and cheated us out of promotion. Shitty little club who have cheated and swindled their way to the top and I would laugh my arse odd at them of one day it all goes tits up for them.

There like a Midlands based Wet Spam.

I was as upset as anyone else at the time Leicester did this. However the rules changed after they did it unlike West Ham they didn't break any rules. I agree it wasn't savoury and I agree I had forgotten about it (which is strange for me as I do remember most of the things that have gone against us giving me a feeling of almost paranoia about the governing bodies against us). I also agree it set us back a long way also, as I think that team with Browny and Tongey would have survived in the prem with a couple of additions. But at that time Leicester didn't break any rules and like any team trying to survive or prosper carried on under the rules that existed. We would have gone up had the rules that followed been in place at that time, but they weren't, so Leicester went along with the rules in place. If they didn't break any rules, it might be unethical but they didn't cheat.
But I agree with you it was terrible what they did to the businesses that they effectively stole from, however the current owners and directors (that bind a company) were not responsible for that and I therefore have nothing against the current Leicester.

I really have no beef with Leicester at all. A Derby supporting mate of mine really dislikes them but I can't come up with a single reason why I would dislike them. Unlike the cheats or the pigs they have done nothing to cause us any grief and we even got promotion to the top flight at their place with Bassett so great memories. Also they shoved it up the big boys and pissed off Scudamore by winning the league so massive respect to them really. Also good to see Harry enjoying his football there obviously I wish it could be with us. It's a shame we won't get much money out of the tie and in all probability will lose.

Bet all the small business's in Leicester who have been shafted over the years think the same.

Is this not the same Leicester than when under administration in 2003 (triple assault season) beat us to promotion after being allowed to bring in players? Can't think why I might be p1ssed

Yes that is what the post is about.

I don't normally, but I clicked the link and read through a couple of pages. I saw nothing there that was particularly outrageous, the usual mix of daft and ignorant comments together with sensible and reasonable comments. Overall, I thought not too dissimilar to a thread on this board. Why would CW be pinning it up?

I really have no beef with Leicester at all.

Me neither, until I read this:

Jamie Vardy is an owl he hates the blades so does Harry Maguire

Of course, we retook our end and penned the Sheffield fans into the corner near the main stand. Ah, good memories! Anyone on here old enough to remember this,
or was it Forest?

Wonderful thing, dementia. And, if you wanted further proof of what an utter shit looks like...

Not really. It's a company using the same trading name and licence to play in the football league as the other Leicester but owned by different owners, who haven't, as far as I'm aware, ripped anyone off. The owners who did that forfeited their ownership of the club and any money they invested in it when they went into administration. So whilst 'the club' may have benefitted from their actions, they didn't. They lost their club.

Never had anything against Leicester. Don't mean much to me, although I was cheering them all the way to the Premier League title a few years back, think half of football was.

Remember some good games between us, and I never tire of hearing about Filbert Street all them years ago.

But I stopped and had to re-read this a few times to make sure this guy wasn't being ironic:

In principle you are right but the Championship is full of arrogant clubs who belittle the likes of Wigan, Bournemouth, Brighton etc for having poor attendances. Full of fans who think they belong in the top flight despite spending decades out of it (Wednesday, Forest, Leeds, Blades etc). I would say we are one if the more open minded and and less arrogant fan base around.

So we all feel we belong in the Premier League? Christ, they don't know much about us do they? He then carried on, in the same post he said we were arrogant and belittled clubs, to say:

Also we are not a huge club but we are not Bristol City either or some peasants who should thank our lucky stars to be where we are.

Peasants...

Am I missing something, or is he?

I remember we played Leicester c.2008 and beat them 3-0 comfortably (Beattie hat trick at the Lane) whilst they were on their way down to League One. How our fortunes have differed since then! Would I have predicted that Leicester would go on to win the premier league title less than 10 years later, of course I wouldn't, but strange things happen. Would I predict that we will beat them in this game, no I wouldn't but remember that Arsenal got knocked out by forest - who we are arguably better than, Spurs drew with Newport, Wigan beat West Ham (haha!) and even Sisu beat Stoke so it could happen!!

Edit: even Leicester themselves drew with fleetwood in r3.

On the other hand, few Blades seem content with being in the championship and plenty are happy to berate our owners for not putting enough cash in to guarantee promotion. So, if we don't think we're entitled to be in the PL why do so many kick off like we are entitled? Obviously we don't come out with the shit the pigs and the notts equivalent of the pigs and say shit like the PL needs us back and all that but the implication is there.

In my lifetime I'd say us and Leicester are similar clubs, clubs that float between the top of the first and second division (in old money) and have both flirted with the lower divisions (well I say flirted but for us it was more like getting bummed) but they've been quite fortunate over the last few years. They dropped lucky getting one of the few megarich owners who aren't complete tits and have run the club well, culminating in their surprise winning of the title. Fair play to them really, even if I am a bit envious. If our promotion and subsequent relegation hadn't coincided with a massive recession leading to KM becoming hugely distracted and leaving the club in the hands of the fuckwitt twins we might have done a lot better than we have for the last decade. And if it wasn't for the recession I'd be close to retirement now. So we keep going in the hope that luck evens itself out over time.

I’m so angry at the majority of what are indifferent comments saying nothing of note.

Just me that seemed to read a relatively positive mix and anti Wendy stuff?

I think you're missing something. I found his comment to be reasonable and fairly accurate. I don't know any Blades who, when asked the direct question, would answer, "No, as a club, we don't belong in the Premiership." We also think we are bigger than the three clubs he mentioned.
And his peasants reference was not aimed at us.

We all know they cheated their way to promotion years ago at our expense. That's why there's points deductions, transfer embargoes etc. for clubs going into admin.
But they are really a club similar to us, but a lot of plastic fans. They've had their season in the spotlight (again assisted by rather dubious financial arrangements). when they get relegated in the next few years, all their 'loyal fans' will be back supporting the Manchester clubs, arsenal & Chelsea
