The 3 pre match views after this game were so different. They were just hoping to keep the score down which resulted in their players throwing their shirts into the crowd when they drew 0-0. Read the above comments and it's quite incredible how quickly they accepted we were far ahead of them. That 4-2 completely destroyed them and they still haven't recovered from it.

Little story; new neighbours 18 month ago, perfect neighbours, knew he was a Wednesday fan but doesn’t go , but all his mates are “ massive “ Wednesday fans. For 17 month never once mentioned them or how they where doing, all of a sudden he’s outside looking for me, started when they played MK the other week. Saw him at the top of the drive, shouts, “ we took 5,000 to MK last night, if it had been a afternoon kick off we’d have taken 7,500”.
“ That’s not many” thinking he might bite, but no reaction.
Goes quite a few days, then see him at the top of the drive again, this was after they had secured a play off spot.
“ Bastard Mackems have only given us 2500 tickets, they don’t want to give us any advantage with our away following” .
“ You going”I asked, politely.
“ Nah, mates are going they’ve got tickets, they where hoping for 10,000 but they knew if they’d given them that many it would have given us a big advantage”.
Now I’ve heard all these tales about Wednesday fans and their obsession with crowd figures and always thought it was a wind up from Blades fans.
I turned and walked away but couldn’t resist a, “ Thara proper Wednesday fan aren’t tha” politely of course.
