Pig in Blades end at Mansfield?

so there were more fights definitely started off by these lads?

Given the fact some of the people involved hadn't even started going during the time I'm talking about, then I think it's a little unfair to suggest i'm blaming them.

I'll give you my position in simple terms....

I would like to get on with every blade, we are all blades, an extended family with a common love.

I have a completely open mind when it comes to people of all ages, backgrounds etc.

I support anyone trying to improve the atmosphere amongst the united support.

This doesn't mean than I'm being unfair or "having a dig" for merely expressing my concerns about individuals. If someone is a cock towards me or others, they are a cock, whether they sit on A-Block, H-Block or anywhere else, are 12, 43 or 78.

The simple solution is, don't act like a dickhead towards others and people won't think you're a dickhead!

I'm not on a crusade to slag anyone down, or tell people they shouldn't do things, I'd just rather some didn't act like nobs and disrespect others.

I'm defending them because there's contrasting reports about how the trouble kicked off, so prematurely blaming just them is unfair I feel..

That's fair enough, I thought you were referring to more fighting at Mansfield caused by younger lads.

What's premature?

Does someone who's seen an event first hand have to wait before you've weighed up your opinion based on others accounts of it before they mention it? :)

Well let's just say that a significant proportion were involved in some handbags and if it continues throughout the season (whether they start it or not) I can see the club not being too impressed.

That fair enough?

Of course, like I said I won't be defending them anymore if there is trouble.

Premature is placing the blame on them moments after the incident, more so when there's contrasting reports afterwards.

So someone sees an incident, involving certain individuals and comments on it... this is wrong, because others later decide it's pigs or Barnsley fans or some other random story? :)

I wasn't, some of them were also involved in thouroughly pissing people off in the queue (including me, though I think one of them realised that with my response to the one sentence he muttered to me :)) though and one in particular also managed to rile three lads up enough from them to want to start on him when he fetched his flag back towards the end of the game.... But i'm not in the business of listing events to chastise people about so I'm not going to sit here whinging about and listing stuff all afternoon, all I'm saying is what I said originally... the attitude and disrespect of certain people towards other blades wins no friends what-so-ever, thats why people end up "blaming" them, no other reason. That's why in my opinion a change of approach is needed badly if they are ever to achieve their aims.

I agree with the quoted post.

I was sat on the front row, just left of the goal so I saw the the situation you referred to at the end of the match as well.

I get a sense that there is a division in the fanbase and even though may not sound like much, things such as pushing in a queue is only going to widen the divide. It's not nice at all seeing fellow fans against eachother to this extent and makes me wonder if it's like this at other clubs.

GC, do you think the A-Force is becoming divisive with chants such as "Sarnie Army" and "sit down if your family stand"?

I'm asking as I know you were originally a big advocate of this section and if their behaviour has altered you opinion then I would be interested in your reasoning. Please don't think it's a point scoring exercise I would just be genuinely interested.

For your first paragraph/question, I didn't hear either yesterday or who they were directed at but if they were chants directed at other united fans then it's not good and is probably divisive.

I'm an advocate of promoting support and trying new types of support but on trial basis etc. I don't think a lot of things have been recieved that well and if you add the 'comedy' chanting as well as the ones towards fellow fans and queue jumping it's not going to be popular. The idea is good, boosting support for the players but so far it hasn't been done particularly well at the away matches where the almost tension is at the highest yesterday was only a pre season but I could feel it. This probably ties in with the comment made by foxy about a new approach being needed from the people most involved although I'm not sure if it will happen.

Why were they chanting to a 12 year old walking past on the front too? Set of little perving kids.

Mark this day GC, I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said. Wow I bet you'll sleep better now. ;)

I heard that as I wasn't too far away from the one/s they were chanting at an I thought "surely not" but having seen the video on YouTube a lot of them looked about that age.

She had my bloody name on her back too!

GC88. We've had a few little spats in the past, but I must say that that, for me, is the most sensible thing you have posted on here.
