The manager that won us promotion left in January for Washington DC in the MLS. The assistant was then promoted to head coach but the results were not that convincing anymore. Season ahead is too risky to trust a young unproven coach. So very happy with the experienced Maes.
As long as your fans are happy with the appointment then its all good, I just hope we end up with the same feeling as well! 🤞

That's a shame, I was hoping that if Jokanovic fell through Clement would be the next guy to turn to.
Think clement was the one who was out of our league but hey we enjoyed trying to get his number 😂

European football with Brugge next season or Championship wi dem Blades.

Oh i dont know, anyone got a coin to toss.
Isn't it about what backing he would get though?

The concept of European football on the whole in my opinion is overrated if all you've got to look forward to are a couple of hammering a from Dortmund and out you go.

If they give him a budget to compete then that's different. But having won the league with 2 separate clubs, what is left for him to achieve in Belgium?

Some people, believe it or not, are not always looking for a new, big challenge. Some people want to stay where they are, enjoy their job, know they're relatively safe and that they work with a group of people they like and respect.

Because of my line of work I'm constantly getting messages on LinkedIn, emails and phone calls telling me about these amazing opportunities within other businesses, either working in-house or working for another external provider, but I've done that before - skipped to a new and exciting challenge only to discover that I've made a mistake. I'm sure it's the same in football. Not everyone wants to be at the bleeding edge. Look at where wanting a change got Curbishley.

I think he would have been. If he signs a new deal it makes me have more faith that Slav is done.
He's done everything he could in Belgium and I think he could have been convinced. Ah well we can look again when Slav walks.

Ask them pigs if Europe is overated they still bang on about it,as its some sort of badge of honour.

If we had made Europe last season, dont think any of us fans would have complained,or gone blah effin europe cups or overated.
