I remember all this when we signed Phil Thompson . Look were that got us .
If Jags leg have gone in the premiership , would he be any better in the Championship .
I remember Paul McGrath's legs were gone when he left Man Ure but he put in another 10 years of sublime performances -- Even his last few performances in the Red & White stripes were pure quality !

Jags would do a job for any Champinship side.

I'd go with staying in the PL with Burnley.Hopefully except us . He IMO will finish up at Sunderland . They can take the hit with parachute payments regarding Jags wages . We cannot take the risk . Money could be spent elsewhere for a up and coming CB not one who could be a risk both financial and fitness wise .

I'm sure if we offered a pathway into the coaching setup, we'd have half a chance.
What's the reality?Amazes me how far some peoples expectations are from reality
I was about 15 in the 02/03 season and that team, after years of increasingly turgid shit, totally captured my imagination. For sentimental and nostalgic reasons I'd love to see him end his career with us.
That said. This team feels like an advent of a new period of success, much like the 02/03 team did. Shoehorning Jags into it might be a bit weird.
Probably ly not on Wilders wish list but could be attractive to Jag,s,he's had all his big money pay days and unless a struggling premier team entices himThis is a non starter for me.
1 he's too good for the championship and also we'd never pay his wages, wilder said on goals of Sunday, he wouldn't ruin the team ethic by paying players 10x more than everyone else

he will be in the championship next season ,which means it's a possibility.
Could be really attractive to him having his final fling withus, obviously the wages are a big consideration .His CV is lacking a winners medal,England d caps yes but no silverwear..Don't write it off if we make it , !! unless he is greedy it's a possibily
OK but we finished 2ND he is lacking silverwearWhat are you talking about? He lifted this prestigious trophy...........

Jags is not a Sheffield lad and was far more a Warnock fan than a Blade.
All things being equal, and he did drop down to the Championship, my money would be on a move to Cardiff.
