Peck

The white Viera 🛐. A great backhanded compliment was the Boro player who tried to kick the crap out of him well after the ball went just before half time.

Nothing but love and admiration for him.

Him Arblaster, Brooks, Seriki are all wonderfully gifted players from our academy. Great to see.

I know Blaster has been our captain and did a decent job being thrown into the deep end but for me Peck is slightly more Captain material. He’s more vocal. Great that we have 2 players from academy who are in that mould.

He will be a captain one day, somewhere. Maybe even here

I know Souza comes with a specific set of skills and physique but Peck and Arblaster would be a very good footballing midfield.

They are both good all-rounders.

Peck has shown he can get stuck in but it was his ball playing that got him recognised at U21 level.

He has the ability to score goals. It’s only a matter of time.

Will obviously get pelters but will say it again of the 2 academy midfielders he's been better for us than arblaster so far
By a country mile. Arblaster was steady whereas this guy is changing the direction and outcome of games..,

He was very good last night but still needs to work on that forward ball.

His natural instinct is to turn back or sideways.

It’s something the staff have been working on though as last night he looked forward more than I’ve ever seen him.

And that pass… welll … take a bow son

Absolute warrior last night. Potential to become one of our greats.

Probably my MOTM It was clear early on the Boro were targetting him with foul after foul hoping for a reaction. Credit to Peck for his discipline no reaction just kept on playing football and a wonderful forward pass for the 2nd goal, credit to BBD too, if forwards don't make those runs midfield can't make those defence splitting passes.

They bring different things to the team which is why they could develop into a great pairing. Arblaster’s footballing brain, speed of thought and decision making are streets ahead of most players and there is a reason he was made captain at the age of 20. He also looked a quality player in the PL. Peck could well be captain material one day but he will need to dial back on the emotion & play with a slightly clearer head. I have no doubt that will come with age.

How mouthwatering is Peck and Arblaster as a midfield duo?
Cannot wait to see this regularly. If we don’t go up this year then seeing these two develop a partnership to dominate the champ would be a very nice consolation. I think they have the game to complement each other really nicely. Peck is more dynamic out of possession, Arblaster has the better technique on the ball but neither are glaringly bad at their ‘weaker’ attributes.

Biggest thing for me is that both are positive in possession - they take a touch and look to progress the ball forward. Obviously it won’t work 100% of the time but it’s so good to watch. That’s testament to the coaching they’ve received in the academy. A lot of young players have that coached out of them these days in favour or possession at all costs - I love that we’re doing things differently at that level.

I think it’s also because Sydie already has a reputation in the game. The commentator mentioned it that he had heard, Sydie likes to give loads of chat during games. Not a problem as long as he can control himself if he gets targeted

I wonder if more established players, from other clubs, think of him as a youngster so consider him an easy target for the physical stuff. Swiftly to understand the meaning of the phrase 'fuck around and find out'.

I remember back in the summer we were all questioning why we didn't sign Dozzell after a steady trial. Think we all know the reason why by now.

Probably true. Can you imagine being a stalwart Championship 30+ midfielder and some cockney with a side parting is chirping shit in your ear? Probably look to do him.

I love him man, but he’s definitely a player who could be the classic villain antagonising other fans.

Indeed. I'm still mad that Ollie is out for the season. At least he won't attract as many big boys at the end of the season so we'll see him here next year...
Hopefully
