Pavel Nedved for Bolton

Only broke in to the side very recently but don’t think he’ll be there for long. Looked a very tidy intelligent player, and had a cynical side which you don’t usually see in a young player.

He’d fit in to our team as another midfield option very nicely.

He'll be fitting into a Prem side next season, doubt it will be us. We'll be going for the real Modric.

I was watching on IPTV for a bit. Paul Walker was on commentary and at one point he said "plays it for con-ell".

I laughed anyway

yep - stood out a mile for them - the kids got star quality written all over him, and if he's only 17, the big boys will be all over him in the summer.

He played like he's older than 17. Fearless, intelligent and got stuck in a fair bit. Being left footed is a big plus for him too.

Selling him will do Bolton a lot of favours, as long as he's under contract.

He’s a defensive midfielder in my eyes. Not sure he’d suit our style. Good prospect and looked small but pretty strong.

In their financial position, and of they go down they'll be lucky to get £2.5m + a small sell on clause. Seems like the sort of player Spurs would go after

What number was he?

Weren't that 48 was it? The one with a bit of a Gypo haircut?

Tried winding fans up when he came over to take a corner at the kop end

He was quite tidy on the ball

Ooaoaahhhh hoofball friend!!

Ameobi had quite a bad game.

He's got so many good attributes but stamina and teamwork seem to be lacking, but it doesn't help him being at Bolton.

I couldn’t believe it when I saw he was only 17, he played like he was 27! Definitely won’t be at Bolton very long.

Stood out a mile for them.

Didn’t realise he was just 17.

Top prospect. Wilder take note !!

Honestly was the only player who I thought was above league one standard, he was carrying the whole team and if we sign him as an understudy to Norwood when we get promoted I wouldn't mind

Yes. Very good, but not yet good enough. Who will take the gamble on him?

Sorry but he did nowt, Ameobi far more of a threat .

Ameobi looked like Bambi on ice. Loads of pace but seemed to struggle to control his legs. Ran the ball out of play about 4 times in the first 5 minutes. Baldock showed exactly what happens when you match a quick player for pace but also have some footballing ability

He was neat and tidy, found space well, and made a good contact on the ball when he played it. Seen plenty of them who haven`t made it though, but he`s one for the notebook.

Pace is his only attribute. Anyone with half a footballing brain who matches him for pace will beat him every time.
