If I was running a business in South Yorkshire I'd put my last £ on Mitchell, Wilder, Knill.
Football is not all about South Yorkshire though.
If the football world ended at L1 and L2 I'd stake my mortgage on all of them. It's not though.
Football is a global game. Thing is I would like to swim or sink with the South Yorkshire way ( yes Knill qualifies through residence!) I'd love to see more Academy players in our teams, not just the 'stars' but more the bread and butter. Sell the young 'stars' for working capital until we can afford to keep them, nothing wrong with that in fact it's an obvious strategy.
Something big is happening. Give Wilder a 10 year contract NOW. 'Sink or swim' with a thorough professional, show him we believe in him, back him and then let the Premier League get used to the 'South Yorkshire Way". We know it makes sense and will happen one day. Besides Wednesday have gone a different route and it is 'unproven' in Sheffield or anywhere in fact apart from at big clubs. We need to do something different. Reward Wilder NOW.
