Signs on an initial months loan.

Decent deal. Though he's probably better as a striker, he has played plenty of games on both wings in his career, and you have to assume he'll be starting on the left on Saturday. It's important that we try and cultivate the Blackman-Cofie partnership, so I doubt that if he's here for a month he'll be playing anywhere other than the wing. Shame it's just a month really...

Great player for this league.

Fairly baffling signing considering his primary position.

Is he the one that started out at Blackburn? Remember him being highly rated as a youngster if so.

Can play on either wing or down the middle....can't see what is too baffling to be fair

Fair enough, I always saw him as more of a striker, but a few have commented he's played the wings in recent seasons.

Great signing then :)

I think this is a strong indication that Danny could be switching to a 4-3-3 temporarily and he's already said he wouldn't be against doing so.

I've seen Gallagher play on the left of a four man midfield and on the left of a three man front line so I suppose it opens up both possiblities. Given that the guy is attack minded, I expect us to go 4-3-3. Due to our lack of midfield options it would make sense.

A Leicester City season ticket holder I work with says that although he's a striker (or in actual fact a "number 10") he's normally been deployed in a wide position for them. He gets knocked off the ball too easily and is not really fast enough for a winger but has a great football brain and his delivery from set pieces is 2nd to none.
Sounds like we've signed Quinny's replacement, pity it's only for a month.

He's a nice footballer. Not the sort to fire you into the Premiership, but should slot into the Blades' footballing machine quite easily.

I've always thought he was a decent player so I'm happy with this signing.

I'm pretty sure he's scored quite a few goals against us in his career so far. He's always been a player I'm wary of and I believe he takes a pretty good free kick too.

jesus danny after Mcmahon and now this signing[albiet on loan] you could be getting a half decent team together much to the dismay of some on here when we get back the suspened and injuryed we may even have a team for playoff's?reckon he's gone out on loan due to the fact the vile's favourite son's gettin his game and scoring ,sorry bradford blade aurthers day 27 this not last month oooops!!!

I'm delighted. Gallagher should be outstanding at this level. One of the best we could possibly of got in the circumstances.

Yeah - look forward to seeing him work his 'magic' Satdi - and no worries about the mix up; all the more reason for another pint or three of the black stuff :D

I think it's becoming clear now that this seasons league is weaker than last seasons and I believe if we could keep Gallagher on for the full year we'd actually be a better side than we were last time round and better equipped (due to the experience) to gain promotion.

Lowton and Williamson out McMahon and Gallagher in would more than suffice down the right hand side and even possibly be a slight improvement.

Up front with Cofie and Blackman quickly finding their feet, Cresswell still doing his steady work and Porter and Kitson still to contribute I'm confident that between them they could account for at least 2/3 of Ched's tally last year.

The only player we'd then be missing is Stephen Quinn, so we'd be needing a youngster, Flynn or another signing to step up and fill that role.

Of course I'm not getting ahead of myself, I know it's just an initial month, but it's definitely a positive step in the right direction by Danny. Hats off.

Pele couldn't fire us into the Prem from our current position in a month!

Goog job fat Terry is no longer with us otherwise I'b be expecting Noel and Liams even less talented brother to turn up.
I think Jade is as much a regular as Bert these days....

A very good signing. Just at the right time after the two red cards. I've seen him quite a few times and each time he's showed plenty of ability with the ball and decent vision. He's good at set peices too. Scores the odd goal as well. I seem to remember him chipping the keeper from around 35 yards out after spotting the keeper off his line. Lets hope he can do that for us. Never seen him as a striker though, only as a winger, so i can't imagine he's been brought in as anything but a midfielder, although if the worst came to the worst he could fulfil that role. His assest is creating chances rather than putting them away.

The other pleasing aspect of this is the fact it's another signing that's come in completely under the radar. I haven't seen Gallagher's name linked to us at all before today. We've become much better in not allowing info on signings to leak ahead of them being done deals.
