Is that with one striker or dropping someone? I'd say don't change a winning side, 2 good wins on the trot...

Unfortunately we will have to due to Basham being suspended, however I agree with not changing the side.

Coutts offers us something different to our current midfield 3 in that he alters the tempo of a game so well in the middle of the pitch. He's a brilliant option if we need to control the game, but I feel he is currently best utilised as a substitute to help grind out a result.

Didn't notice him which is usually a good thing for a midfielder when you've won.

Dont really agree with not charging a winning side but Coutts looked pretty good today

The challenge he put in for their sending off and the triangle with Fleck and Billy for the 3rd goal were Coutts-esque Steve Mackan would have needed a change of pants at full time.

He had 2/3 nice passes in the build up for our third moving across the pitch. Looked slick and sharp during that move in particular.

Absolutely delighted to see him return and look as though he's still got it. A nasty injury such as the one he had can effect confidence as well as fitness. He looks fine and will no doubt improve with games.

Our squad does have some depth this season and with the addition of some more pace and firepower we'll be in with a chance.

Not deliberately looking to be controversial.

And as you all know, I’m a fully paid up roller worshipper !!

He’s still off the pace for me. And is still shirking facing up and genuinely challenging for 50/50 balls.

That said, he did come on in difficult circumstances and played his part. This can only auger well for the run in :).

I thought his first few touches were nervy and put us under pressure by playing it backwards unnecessarily when defenders didn't expect it
Didn't notice him after that

Of all the players on the pitch, I would have put him in the bottom half for his performance. I have not been impressed with his play since coming back from that horrific injury. I hope he can get back to 70% of old state.

Just what Coutts wanted after his long lay off, around 40 min and he got wired in for the first time.Norwood was pushed further forward which allowed Coutts to step into his regular position,we were better for it as his ball retention is better than Norwood's.
Think we might see more of him now as he was up to speed for this first time which is great for us.

No!!! don't agree....... Barely featured really this season. He was ok I'm sure given the chance in his prime position he is class.

I've got no doubt we'll see the best of Coutts next season after a proper full pre season, the guy is too good a footballer. The biggest problem he faces however is dislodging Norwood as I don't think he can play where Fleck plays effectively. Looking forward to him playing a full game v Barnet it will do him the world of good starting and playing in the position he's comfortable with.

I thought he was slightly off the pace initially and noticed that a few times their midfielders just glided past him. However when we had the ball he came into his own and for the first time since his comeback we saw the Coutts of old. I also also noticed that Fleck burst into life when he came on and the interplay between the two of them especially for the third was great to see. Maybe that’s why Fleck has been missing because he certainly went up a gear when Coutts came on.

You may well be right about seeing more of him finners but who is he going to replace? For tactical reasons yesterday it was Duffy which did work well but we have to remember that Dowell is also on the scene, not saying he is vying for Coutts position but he is a midfielder nevertheless , interesting to see what happens.

If CW is going to change it the the Wigan game I can only seeing McG dropping deeper and replacing Duffy, as well as Cranie or Stearman coming in for Bash. Norwood, Coutts and Fleck are too flat as a 3.

I thought Coutts was better yesterday but still stood-off the man with the ball too much and there's a lack of bite when he and Norwood play together.

I don't blame anyone for shirking a tackle with that dickhead of a ref yesterday.

Coutts & Norwood are really in competion for the same position but have different strengths,Coutts keeps the ball better and we play a shorter passing game.Norwood has a wider range of passing but Doasnt keep possession the way Coutts does .
When under the cosh Coutts is the best bet as his ability to slow it down and keep the ball gives a bit of breathing space.

Totally agree. He’s my favourite player and in my view our best, but he looked off the pace to me. Almost looked to be running awkwardly too.

Some nice touches like but looked quite far from his best I thought.
