Don’t know about any of that, but I’m not happy that his best work was killing one of an endangered species and contributing to its extinction. Well he was from capadoccia in Anatolia which is asia minor and now forms part of modern day turkey, so whilst it may not have been known as Turkey back then he was certainly from the region of the world thst we all know and refer to as Turkey
