Also good that it was Adkins signings that all scored. They've took some stick this season but, its further proof that Adkins knows what he's doing.

So easy to get carried away, but Coutts was different class today. I remember a couple of games last season when him and the beard bossed he right flank but today was superb...Sharpey not bad either ;-)

For me billy MOTM Coutts did play well and was fantastic going forward but let his man get away from him quite a few times when they overlapped Brayfords man. Couple of throw ins he lost his man too (but he is naturally a central player). Other than that a really good performance from coutts.

As I have said before, my Derby and Preston supporting mates all said Coutts was great, before his injury. I thought he was outstanding today, him and Billy were on fire, the whole team played well (apart from Sammon missing an open goal from six inches out!)

Coutts had a brilliant game and would say he was the MOM for me just pipping billy sharp to it.

Coutts and sharp linked up brilliantly and coutts was basically running the match for me down the right hand side. Good little one 2 passes going off between coutts and sharp and coutts and brayford as well.

Thought coutts was the key in midfield today, but as mentioned by GB10 hammond also played well in midfield doing the dirty work needed and knowing his position he was playing very well. Hammond is staying to look very good and although he got a lot of stick when first joining I have always liked him. Think he plays the easy ball when needed to but also think he has brilliant vision when the chances are there and he has got the weight of the ball just right as he can pin point a pass.

I think it would be harsh (and I find it hard to do this) but credit to Clough for signing Coutts, because he's starting to prove why is a Championship player for Derby. Hopefully he'll go onto be a really important player and play maker for this season.
