No offence to Fleetwood but a fully fit Paul Coutts is too good for them, but if it is all his physical limitations now allows him to be, I hope he enjoys a good couple of seasons before he calls time on his career. Real shame he had to leave us, but thanks for the memories Roller.

I'll never forget that fateful day at Burton, who knows what would've happened that season?

It's a real shame for Coutts and us that he couldn't carry on his good spell for us (you fucking prick Sordell) but I think the timing is right to move on unfortunately, I wish him all the best.

I've become ridiculously emotionally attached to Paul Coutts, and now I'm all happy and sad at the same time. I just wish him the very best for the future and hope he's surrounded by players who deserve him. Once a blade and all that. "On a free from Sheffield", doesn't sound quite right.

I hope Coutts somehow discovers his 'mojo' again. PC was a joy to watch, and with Fleck and Duffy alongside him we had one of the best and most creative midfield's this side has ever managed to assemble.

My take, and this is based on Coutts form before his dreadful injury, was that we had a Premier division player in waiting in Coutts. To put it in a nutshell, he was exceptional, he had all the attributes you could wish for in a player who could conduct the tempo of a game. That's how good a player Couttsy was, and yes, I'm not forgetting the contributions of Fleck and Duffy, both superb players in their own right. I think part of the reason so many posters show their appreciation for PC is that we could all see just how good a player this man was. He elevated us, allowing us to watch some of the best performances I can recall from any Blades team.

The very best Paul, it's not often that I can recall a footballer for this club displaying his craft to levels that were a joy to watch.

I hope the remainder of your career offers you the chance to show what a superb player you're capable of being.

I will go along with all of the above Coutts played football as it should be played.

He’s either signed for Fleetwood because he wants to be back in the North West or he knows he’s crocked. Or maybe a bit of both? It doesn’t make sense otherwise.

Privileged to have seen him at his best -pre the injury at Burton. But he’s never looked a patch on that since. GLTTL anyhow but I suspect his career is ending soon. Why make that move if otherwise?
