Patrick Bamford

He said that we hadn't been in the top two before so we won't be able to handle the pressure, I think we've been in every position in the top 6 this season, I also remember being 7 or 8 points behind Leeds at one point so he needs to look at his own teams pressure handling qualities before looking at others, but I'd rather be second with 8 to go than 3rd, and if theyre 3rd for any length of time the pressure on them will get a great deal more.
So which of our players hasn’t won promotion before?

Our promotion celebrations usually involve several pitch invasions, flares, rockets and smoke bombs
Might not have ended up being as much fun if we'd actually achieved promotion at Elland Road

We literally celebrate every victory home/away the same and thats down to Wilder.

Home: they clap all four sides of the ground - if we've won they get a huge roar from the kop.

Away: Plenty of Wilder beating his fist against the badge, plenty of players high fiving and geeing up the crowd. Witnessed this against Wigan, Reading, Brentford, Blackburn and Millwall this season....I don't think at that time we ever expected to be in this position.

‘Sheffield United, it’s the first time they’ve been in this position. It’ll be interesting to see how they cope with it: no longer being the underdogs and being in pole position.”

Don’t think people realise that Sheff United have far more promotion battle experience than Leeds and Norwich combined.

Wilder is going for his 3rd promotion in 4 years, previously topping leagues with 100 points.
Virtually every single United player has very recent experience of winning promotion battles.
Even our new signings and loanees all have massive very recent promotion success.

It really has hit them hard ,they win and 5 points clear with eight to play that would have given us a mountain to climb ,we win and it's turned on its head and makes a real battle for the automatic places including winning it.
That's what' sickened them it will probably go to the wire now and we are loving it .
Great tactics by Wilder he knew we would not get a lot of the ball and picked a team to battle it out ,great win

I hate celebration-shaming like this that's crept into football. We just won at the 2nd-place team in the league in "the biggest game of their lives" according to Jansson, of course we're going to bloody celebrate.

Seem to recall old Pontus geeing up all the Leeds fans after they'd won at the Lane earlier in the season as well, but oh well
Yeah exactly, what a strange way to go about it.

Player: 'we love our passionate fans and need them behind us roaring us on every step of the way, get to every match you can, home and away, to give us your full support'
Same player: 'why were their fans celebrating so much? That's just over the top'

..bizarre.

I remember after our epic second leg play off semi final against Forest in 2003 the Wolves players noticing we had celebrated as if we were already in the Premier league.

Of course we didn't really turn up in Cardiff.

We need to move on now. Leeds is over. It's done with.

We've all enjoyed the weekend. Let's start preparing ourselves for the next challenge a week on Saturday.

Presumably if Leeds had won they’d have just sang ‘for he’s a jolly good fellow’ and applauded politely.
Im sure they would have said -sorry we had to beat you chappies and we are going for a cup of tea now !!

Earl Grey no doubt.

Randomly, it pisses me off when people say ‘builder’s tea’ instead of tea. Like only builders drink it. ‘Oh would you like Earl Grey or builder’s tea’.
‘Well I’m here to look at your roof so what do you fucking think? Actually I’d prefer coffee but I’ve seen you’ve only got standard Nescafé and I’d rather drink my own piss. Milk, no sugar and no biscuits. Don’t put them out on a plate to make me feel guilty, I’m a fat fucker and I don’t want type 2 diabetes thank you’.

I thought that Bamford was crap on Saturday as was The bleached hair little shit he was all mouth and the big centre back Janssen was a right puff and was giving it some to Billy but the ref only saw what Billy was giving him back then Janssen starts playing the wounded soldier.

Reckons we celebrated like we'd already gone up. Also refers to us as 'Sheffield'.

No mate. We were just delighted to beat the Championship's best football team, managed by the best coach the league has ever seen, backed by the greatest set of fans. Oh and did I forget to mention they play the best football as well?

Honoured to have shared a pitch with them, tbh.

To be fair that's a Leeds paper that tries to pretend its for all Yorkshire. I've bought it a couple of times after our matches this season and found our match reports limited to two columns in the inside pages. I've given up on it.

All that limping around and whimpering looks to the bench. Big girls blouse

Have you ever noticed, that when you have a 'stuck up prick', nothing else matters?

and have no conscience, ie " a standing penis has no conscience" as my old pal would say

Always been a Leeds paper mate, Yorkshire Post is the only one from there that tries to cover the whole of Yorkshire

Reight tit.

These guys need to learn how to lose with a bit of style and grace. If there is one thing you can’t accuse Chris Wilder and this current team of it is arrogance. We’d won away from home against a local rival in front of a sellout crowd in the biggest game of the season. A celebration with the fans after game is not unreasonable for Christ’s sake

Bamford is a posh footballer - the worst of everything. He has all of the up-his-own-arse failings of Grealish, but whatever you say about Grealish he cares to his core about Villa. Bamford cares about Bamford - doesn’t give a fuck about Leeds.

That is why Leeds will fail - because at the end of the day they only have 3 or 4 that really care - we have about 18! As for Bielsa, he’s great but he doesn’t give a fuck - if it doesn’t look like working, pack your bag and move on.

We are so fucking lucky - and I never thought that I would be saying that again!

Surprised this hasn’t been picked up elsewhere, but Bamford was extremely lucky to avoid being sent off for wiping out O’Connell with an elbow in the lead up to Jansson’s chance towards the end. He should be looking at a 3 game ban.

Sky and Jimmy Floyd were too focussed on Wilder's tactics prior to the match, they prioritized trying to justify how we set wrong after the result based on Leed's first half dominance neglecting this incident and our tenacity to win. Can't stand biased pundits!
