We will only need about 50 points to make them next season as about 20 teams are competing in them

I think Hull will drop out of top 6 & Wrexham & Southampton will join Boro & Ipswich in Play Offs. I think Millwall will finish 2nd with Cov C top.

Then Wrexham to win play offs & to sod off to bring their Hollywood love in to the Premier league!

Pathway to the Top Ten doesn't have the same ring to it does it? And we're only two points off the top ten now.

For me it's still Pathway to the Playoffs until it becomes a mathematical impossibility.

Come on, put the deludemol down, we’re not getting in the play offs we certainly wouldn’t win them if we did.

Just have to write this season off and hope for a summer clear out and the recruitment of some young’ish dynamic finishers and a completely new S&C team

At the start of the season we were bottom of the league with zero points and below the pigs. We'd all have taken a mid table finish - with the bonus of doing the double over them and relegating them at the Lane.

Now some are unhappy that we're not storming the play-offs too.

I agree we would’ve, however, having seen the points we let slip this season, it’s hard to not think about what could and maybe should’ve been.

As much as I'd be delighted to be proved wrong, we're not making the playoffs.

If we do, for the playoffs I will happily come onto the pitch at half time and let somebody spray deep heat on my ballbag!

No time limit specified in this post May 2027, I'll supply the deep heat, although I prefer the gel to the spray

Not looking easy now, but still a glimmer of hope. First of all we need Watford to pull of an unlikely home win against Wrexham in midweek, and hope that Southampton don't beat Norwich also midweek.

If that happens we go into the home game with Wrexham knowing that a win will put us 7 points off 6th with seven games to go and 21 points still to play for.

74 points is the maximum we can achieve now so we can probably only afford to lose one more game.

The first of those two unlikely results has come in, with Watford beating Wrexham. Now we need Southampton to lose one of their next two (home to Norwich Weds and home to Oxford Sat) to narrow the gap to seven points by beating Wrexham.

We almost certainly won't do it now but I'd love to see us win a few games and keep our mathematical chance alive as long as possible.
