I don't know what my first United match was.

I know what mine was but no one else does!

Let me explain. Don’t know the year but it was Late 1950’s. The game was a charity match between an ‘All Stars’ side including Tommy Steel, Joe Brown, Mike and Bernie Winters, Lonny Donygan et al.

Game was a night match played at Owlerton Stadium. No one else int feckin world seems to know owt about the match. I tried writing to some historian bloke but no reply.

And I saw that Brasil team in the flesh previous October. Playing footy like it was artistry, their supporters behind us making that row with whatever it was. Beautiful women !
